My first ff7 poem. My poetry skills need work - which they should be getting, on and off. Cloud before he "finds himself" or whatever. Confused, obviously. Oh yeah, I don't own anything to do with Final Fantasy or the characters

Something Reflected
JestaAriadne September 2002

Kids, beneath a starlit sky;
Something classic between you and I.
Something to hold in my memory,
Something to connect with reality.

I can still remember your smile, Tifa,
And the universe in your eyes.

We saw the Planet turn and cry,
Saw darkness come and daylight die.
Stars reflected in your eyes
Is it only dark light magnifies?

Where are your smiles now, Tifa?
Have the constellations gone from your eyes?

And tell me, what's a starlit sky,
But a memory forged by you and I?
And what between us is memory?
And what is "you" and what is "me"?

I think you know I'm lost, Tifa.
Lost track of reasons and reflections in your eyes.

Stars only litter the haunted sky,
Dreams just scar the likes of you and I.
Classic moments; no guarantee,
No handhold; just crutches; no prophesy.
Why are we searching for shooting stars
When I can make out my own prison bars?
Is my reason confused with my memory?
Is faith any more than fallacy?

Where are your answers, Cloud?
What has happened to you?

Any reviews for a (hopefully) improving (sort of)"poet"?
