From Afar
Tony led his long lost friend Carl up the stairs of his apartment.
"Bachelor living," the soon to be twice divorce declared as Tony unlocked the door.
"Actually, I'm living with someone," Tony told his college buddy, "She's at the store."
Carl looked around the apartment. It was pretty average nothing stood out. Carl noticed Middle Eastern touches like the rug and assumed Tony's girl liked the culture. The walls were a soft green colour not that Carl could see it, much of the wall was covered by shelving units that were full of books and DVD's. Carl scanned his friend's collection. He saw DVD's that DiNozzo had referenced all those years ago. He also saw some movies he never expected to see The Sound of Music and all four of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
"Never pegged you for a Sound of Music fan," Carl uttered jokingly.
"Those are not mine," Tony replied, he pointed to the shelf with Ziva's movies on it.
"What are you doing?" Carl asked, "Dating a twelve year old girl?"
Tony tried to take it as a joke, but at that point he really wondered if reconnecting with his college buddies was worth it.
"Believe me Carl, she's not twelve," Tony uttered. As he spoke, the door opened. Ziva walked inside carrying shopping bags.
"The store was busy," Ziva uttered as Tony took the shopping from her hands giving her a quick kiss as he did.
Carl was able to see Ziva dressed in a pair of combat pants, a tight grey tank top and an open zip-up OSU jumper. She pulled a knife from her waist intending to open the bag of pasta. Carl gulped as Tony introduced his friend to his girlfriend.
Who was definitely not a twelve year old girl.
