A/n: Yep, I have sadly fallen for Jack Frost's charms (hangs head in shame) ANYWAYS, I know there is probably loads of these types of stories already, but alas, the plot bunnies will not leave me be. so on we go~ (ps: I'll be using the same character from my assassins creed story, but if you haven't read it, she looks like the girl on my profile picture)
Death watched as the sand timer for another persons life went out, picking up the hourglass inspecting it carefully. This person had a more or less normal life, with goals in life still yet to achieve. 'Shame' Death thought to himself whilst smashing the glass on the floor, causing the persons soul to escape, floating aimlessly in the air. The Grim Reaper smiled then said: ''I may have use for you yet child'' before gently grasping the soul. ''My time is coming to a close, you will become the new Grim Reaper''. Death took his scythe and pressed it to the soul, infusing them together, creating a blinding light in the process. When the light had vanished so had the soul. The reaper nodded, satisfied with his work before facing the makeshift shadows. ''Pitch'' Death said, voice cold as the winter. ''Ah, Well if it isn't the Grim Reaper himself'' the boogeyman said smiling. ''Enough of the formalities, finish what you came here for'' Death said, rather calmly, even though he was minutes away from his own death.
Falling. that's what I remember. People screaming for me as I fell off the edge of the cliff, nearing to the stormy sea. No, I wasn't committing suicide. I had tripped and lost my balance, thus leading me to fall off the side of the cliff. My family had packed a picnic and drove us to the coast, and I was just minding my own damn business, when fate had decided to step in and kill me. Fabulous. Now I would not have minded but did I have to die in a boring way? I mean drowning in skittles sounds much better. anyways falling was the last the I remember before plunging into the cold sea, letting fate have her way.
