Like You Once

I look at you

And see

What I could have been

Should have been

If things had turned out

A little different

Maybe I – No – We

Would be considered normal

But I wouldn't give up

The life we have

It is a blessing

It is a curse

And it is the life

We have

But I still wonder

What it would be like

Just to go back

To be like you

Once again
