A/N: Hey, this is my first fan fiction so I'd appreciate any suggestions to improve upon it.

Prologue--
The sun's warm rays shone down on the land, the birds chirped, the cherry blossoms danced down to the ground and one Son Gohan stirred in his sleep.
The beeping of his alarm clock awoke him completely and only then did he remember what his mother had told him just last night after supper in such a nonchalant voice: "Oh, and by the way, Gohan, you're going to high school tomorrow."
That's right. Gohan was going to high school--with other teenagers. He shuddered at that thought. Somehow he hadn't come to that last night.
He checked the calendar and noted that it was May seventeenth. Three days until his eighteenth birthday. Six days until...He sucked in air audibly as his head clouded with memories.
Discreetly, as to not wake his brother up, he prepared for his first day of school. He wore nothing special, just a pair of loosely fitting jeans and a collared shirt with the Orange Star badge pinned to his breast pocket.
A rare smile graced his lips as he sniffed the air in a canine manor. He paced down the hall and into the kitchen to find his mother filling a table with breakfast foods.
"G'morning, Gohan."
"Morning."
"Are you excited about your first day of school?"
Gohan blinked.
"Should I be?"
Chichi managed a small smile and motioned toward a seat.
"Of course you should, Gohan. You're going to meet other teenagers. You're going to meet girls."
Oh, so that was why she was sending him to high school. He gave no reply, just consumed the aforementioned food. Soon enough, Goten joined his feeding frenzy.
"Gohan, you'd better be on your way now." A foul feeling took over his stomach and he felt like he was going to cry. Did he really have to go? He snatched up his pack and walked out the door. "Bye mum! Bye Goten!" Before they could manage a response, he was gone.
---- A/N: I know, I know; extremely short. I promise a much longer chapter next time.
