"Little" Crush

Author's Notes: I don't own iCarly.

"If I didn't have a little crush on you, you'd be so dead right now," Sam said to Spencer.

"LITTLE crush?" Carly asked, shocked. How could Sam not have told her about this?

Before anything else could be said on the topic, the subject was change.

Several days later…

Sam lied down on Carly's couch, looking at Spencer. She put on a bored face, but inside she was thinking of what their wedding was going to be like. Meatballs instead of cake (no, wait, meatballs and cake, yeaah…), forcing Freddie to dress in a monster costume so that every time he ate soup Spencer and Sam could go over there and whack away the nightmares… Sam laughed to herself, closed her eyes, and just when she was starting to fall asleep dreaming about Spencer, a voice yelled out…

"Sam!" Carly said.

"What is it?" Sam got up startled. "Oh, it's just you."

"Yeah, it's just me," Carly said. "The iCarly girl who actually tells her best friend about her crushes."

"What are you talking about?" Sam pretended to not have a clue. Oh no, she thought to herself. She remembers…

"I'm talking about how you said to Spencer several days ago that he would be dead if you didn't have a little crush on him," Carly replied emphatically.

"Oh… that…"

"What's going on? You said no more secrets ever again; what happened to that?"

"I don't know," Sam looked like she was starting to cry, but then held it back. "It's just…"

"It's just what?" Carly asked after a few seconds of Sam not finishing.

"It's just, he's your brother, and I thought if I told you it would be too awkward between us."

"Why would you think that?"

"Because you guys are so close and we're best friends that I thought maybe…"

"Oh, Sam," Carly hugged her. "Don't you know, even if you did date Spencer, we would still be best friends? Our friendship can conquer anything."

"Yeah, that's what we said with Shane and we all know how that turned out," Sam reminded her.

She sighed. "Yeah, but you know what? We learned from that. We said we'd never get competitive over a guy again."

"Yeah, and if you DID get competitive over Spencer with me, that would be… wrong…" She suddenly realized that she should've trusted Carly from the start.

"Exactly. See? You can trust me."

"You're right. Hugs?"

They both hugged each other.

"So, are you going to talk to him about it?" Carly asked silently.

"I don't know. Isn't that illegal or something?"

"Since when have YOU worried about what's illegal?"

"Very true," Sam nodded in agreement. "I'll think about it." She got up from the couch and went towards the door.

"Where are you going?" Carly asked surprised.

"To talk to my therapist!" She went out the door, leaving Carly alone confused.

Suddenly, Carly noticed Spencer in the kitchen looking at her. "Did… you hear any of that?"

"Any of what?" He asked, too focused on his latest sculpture.

She made a side giggle, then went upstairs to her room to plan what to do on the next iCarly.

When she was gone, he looked up and nodded, grinning. "Sam likes me." He nodded one more time, then got back to his sculpture.
