Chapter 1

Evie was having her eleventh birthday party the day they first met. A short white haired boy walked through the door of her castle followed by a purple haired girl and a taller boy with short brown hair. Evie walked up to them to say hi.

"Uh hi." she said.

The purple haired girl stepped in front of the white haired boy and Evie could have sworn it was almost protective. Evie took a step back knowing that this was not someone who she should cross.

"So are you the pampered princess?" ask the purple haired girl almost spitting out the words pampered and princess.

"Actually my names Evie. I'm turning eleven."

"Daughter of EQ." the white haired boy said shyly to the purple haired girl.

"Aha that explains it." she answered not taking her eyes off Evie.

She seemed to be sizing her up in case she had to fight her.

"You all seem like a really... interesting, group. What are your names?" asked Evie. She could have sworn she'd seen them before but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

"I'm Mal. I'm elem years old and my mother is Maleficent." said Mal.

The brown haired boy piped up. "Names Jay. I'm the son of Jafar and I'm also eleven." he said.

"And you." said Evie, turning to the white haired boy.

He wore red, white and black with a dog tail hanging at his side. His hair was white with dark roots and he had chocolate brown eyes.

"Um I'm Carlos son of Cruella DeVil. I'm ten." he said shyly.

Evie immediately took a liking to the white haired boy and they were soon best friends. Evie remembered that day so clearly it was like it was yesterday.

Present day.

Evie sat in class totally zoned out, staring at Carlos who was whispering with Jay. Jay's long hair flowed over his shoulders and he was clutching his favorite red beanie in his hand. Carlos would nervously glance in her and Mal's direction every now and again, brushing his side bangs out of his eyes.

Adara who sat in the row next to her leaned over.

"Hey has Jay been working out he looks more muscular then usual." she said glancing over at Jay who nodded at her with a quick flick of his head.

"Ada you are sooo lovesick." said Evie shaking her head.

"Psshh who can I be in love with the son of my fathers sworn enemy?" said Adara though she knew it was true.

"Remember Ada we're not our parents." said Mal after hearing there conversation.

"I guess there's truth in that." Adara deduced after a long pause.

Just as Evie was starting to get bored, the bell rang. She, Mal and Adara walked out of the classroom, followed by Ben, Carlos and Jay. They headed to the outdoor cafeteria where they met Jane and Chad and sat down at there usual table.

Carlos and Jay started whispering again and Evie decided it was time to butt in.

"Hey what are you two talking about?" she asked, leaning across the table.

"Nothing!" said Carlos quickly. A little too quickly.

Evie raised an eyebrow, purses her lips and glared. This was the look that Carlos hated. He flushed brith red as a result but Evie wasn't quite happy yet.

She frowned at him and decided to give up. Jay looked at Adara and winked make her blush and making Mal and Evie get some ideas.

"Ben I was wondering if you could help me study." Mal asked. "I feel like I'm falling behind in history of magic."

"Sure lets go." said Ben, getting the message.

They left the picnic table and headed towards the building.

"Oh before I forget. Jane, Chad, and Carlos I have outfits for you guys to try on." Evie said with a squeal.

She didn't actually have outfits for them to try on she just wanted to leave Jay and Adara alone. Nevertheless she dragged the three teens towards the building leaving the two lovebirds alone.
