"Draco?" I ask cautiously approaching his lifeless figure. "Draco?" I hear myself repeat a bit more frantically now.
"What have I done?" I whisper. "Draco, I-I-I didn't mean it." I fell myself fall to the floor. I reach over and stroke his soft white-blonde hair before taking a good look at his pale face and lifeless stormy eyes. I fall onto his body slightly cold as it always was and resolve into sobs.
"Draco, oh my god, Draco I-" I can't continue it. I know I was the one responsible for his death but can't do anything about it.
I'm completely numb at the thought of killing my only love. At killing the only man who ever loved me for who I was not for what I looked like. He hadn't even cared that I was a Weasley - a lesser being in his family. He even endured his Father's beatings all for me and I had to kill him.
"Why?" I hear myself cry. It came out squeaky. I feel back upon his body and cried some more. If I could only change the pat then maybe...
'Ginny you know that's impossible!' I mentally scolded myself. Then a thought struck me - Azkaban, the terrible wizard prison and surely Lucius Malfoy would have me locked up forever for killing his only son.
Avada Kedavra, why did I have to learn that awful curse. Draco had taught it to me.
"Just in case." His voice echoed through my head.
"Just in case what?" I had asked.
An evil sounding voice entered my head. "Just in case you want to kill your lover."
"Shut up!" I shrieked hearing my scream echo throughout Malfoy Manor. Of course the day we were alone together in Malfoy Manor had to be the day we fought. I frantically searched my mind for a way to bring him back or to turn back time...
"The time turner!" I exclaimed just as loudly as my shriek.
I ran from the room attempting to run up the stairs. I managed to fall on my face and bloodying my nose but I didn't care. I jumped right back up and ran the rest of the way up the stairs. I dived into his room and pulled out the time turner. I figured I might as well stop the fight so nothing accidentally happened. I turned it back to only 10 minutes before. I peeked around the corner from inside a downstairs closet and surely enough there they - we - were.
"You lying piece of shit!" I watched myself scream.
I decided to step out. "Draco, Ginny." I said loudly enough for them to hear.
They both looked over at me surprised.
"Who?" I asked while Draco said, "Ginny?"
"I am from ten minutes into the future. If you continue fighting Draco will die. You will accidentally kill him and almost kill yourself over it." I said hoping it would work.
They just stared. I took that as a yes they'd stop fighting so I went back to my own time.
I saw Draco - alive!
"Draco!" I started crying and found myself folded into his arms. "I almost killed you." I said.
"You warned us." He said softly.
He stared into my eyes then passionately kissed me.
