She Don't Know she's Beautiful
We go out to a party somewhere
Anne and I were at one of Diana's many parties, except this wasn't just any party. This was a going away party for Anne. I can't say I blamer her for leaving either. This was an amazing opportunity for her, she was moving on to teach at some lady's college and it's not like I wasn't leaving too.
I'm headed off to medical school soon. My only regret is that we're parting ways without anything to permanently tie us together. I Love her and I thought she loved me too, but I guess I was wrong.
I could see her, standing on the other side of the room chatting with Diana and a couple of the other girls. She was as elegant as ever. Anne was beautiful, but she couldn't see it. She hates her long red hair. She thinks she's far from being every relatively pretty.
The moment we walk in the door
People stop and everybody stares
She don't know what they're staring for
I glanced around the room. I'm not the only guy here hopelessly staring at her. I can hear Diana telling Anne that some guy or another is looking her way and like always, Anne shakes her head and rolls her big bright green eyes. I turn to Fred Wright, I'd been ideally conversing with him throughout the night, and said "She don't know she's beautiful."
"Who? Anne?" Fred asked following my eyes.
"it's never crossed her mind."
Fred replied "Yes I supposed that Anne Shirley is very pretty." But Fred's gaze didn't linger on Anne for long before it had moved to her friend Diana.
"She don't know she's beautiful, no she's not that kind"
Fred nodded his agreement but I doubt he's listening to me any more.
"She don't know she's beautiful though time and time I've told her so.", murmured Fred quietly to himself. Fred defiantly has stopped paying attention to me and my thoughts about Anne. Instead he was reflecting on his thoughts about his wife Diana.
I'll update another chapter tomorrow. I don't own Anne of Green Gables, But I do have a copy of the books and the movies the song is "she don't know she's beautiful" by Sammy Kershaw. Please Review!
