What You Wanted

Summary: Summer reflects on how her decision to join GEORGE prompts her to realize that she did and still does want to marry Seth.

A/N: Um, hi. I'm new, and I hope you like this story. :)

Summer walked up to her room, unable to keep the tears from falling. She missed him. She couldn't believe that she had been so stupid as to think that she could tell him that he was her destiny, and that when they were both ready, they would get married. It was stupid, she told herself. I can't believe I did that.

He had just called, saying that he missed her and wished that they could've been together for her birthday. It was only a message, but hearing his voice made the flow of tears begin. By this time she was sobbing into her pillow, unable to stop his voice from going through her head. "I miss you, Summer. I wish we could have been together on your birthday. But, don't worry just yet. I sent you a present! It's pretty awesome, if I do say so myself. I think you'll love it. And don't forget; I love you."

As if it was bad enough, the doorbell rang. She ran. Maybe it's a package, the ring for Mallory! She opened the door. A man was standing there, with a small box in his hand.

"Um, hi," he said. "Do you know if Summer Roberts is here?" Why would he want me?

"Yeah, yeah that's me, why?" Summer asked. She wondered who would send her a package. And then it dawned on her:

The present.

"This is for you, if you could just sign here…" Summer took the pen, signed, and took the package from the man.

"Thank you very much," she said and closed the door. She looked at the package. And what she saw stunned her.

It's from Seth.

She grabbed scissors and ripped open the package. There was a comic strip that Seth had drawn and written. It said:

"Well I had an awesome time tonight, Cohen," Summer said.

"That's good, because I have to ask you something."

"What is it Cohen?" Long, uncharacteristic pause…

"Will you marry me, Summer Roberts?"

Summer's hand flew to her mouth. What was he doing? She looked in the package to see if there was an ending to the comic. And there, in the box, was a smaller box. She opened it. There was a ring and note in the box. And written in Seth's messy scrawl were the words, Will you marry me, Summer Roberts?

"Yes," she whispered to herself. "Yes, I'll marry you."

"And don't forget; I love you."
