A/N- Hey Guys! I decided to write this one-shot about Mike because of Nunanx3. She gave me the awesome idea to write a more detailed story about Mike and his cow powers.
I couldn't think of what to name the ranch. I decided to name it after my friend. Haha.....I didn't tell her. Sorry if it sucks, I had a total writers block, and Hannah deserved her credit.
This story will not make any sense unless you read Reunion Gone Wrong. It takes place about a year before the Reunion when Mike is boarding on a ranch. It's all Mike's POV.
Sorry about the long authors note. :D Enjoy!
My Short, Weird Life in Wisconsin: America's Dairy Land
My first day living away from home; of course, I put off finding a dorm for too long and they all filled up. I got into UWM, University of Madison, in Wisconsin. It was pretty far away from home, but I was glad to be away for awhile.
Since all the dorms were filled up I was in a hotel for like a week. Then, after days of searching, I found a decent place. Okay, it was some weird ranch. The guy who owned it was not only crazy, but like 90 years old. His name was Bill. His last name is way too hard to pronounce.
He named the place after his daughter, Hannah. It was called "Hannah's Happy House." This guy is crazy, but, at least I wasn't at the hotel.
His daughter owned the hotel I stayed at. He was visiting her and found out I needed somewhere to live. He said he had a room. I said "When can I move in?"
So there I was, sitting in a 15x15 room with one widow and a tiny bathroom.
I looked out the window and saw a small field. Bill said I could look around all I want, just not to break or play with any farm equipment. I left my room by climbing down the little fold-up ladder to the storage barn. I fell into a hay bale.
Once I was safely out of the barn, I walked to the animal barn. This guy had one horse and like, ten, maybe fifteen cows. I looked at them and left.
Then I went to a grazing area. There was couple more cows. One of them was different from the rest. There was something about it. It made no sense why I was so drawn to that cow. I walked to the gate, let myself in, and came up to her. All the cows came to me. It was like they were as drawn to me as I was to them.
I spent about an hour just sitting with the cows.
"Dinnertime!" Bill shouted to me "We got smoked possum!"
As soon as I was ten feet away, the cows seemed to stop calling to me. I regained my normal senses.
It was right there I decided to go to Washington State. Wisconsin was not doing me any good.
Please Review. It inspires me to keep writing!
