Title: His

Author:endiahna

Summary: Trixie kind of has her eyes set on some one and it isn't a certain red head either. Trixie has always had Jim, but who said she was Jim's? And who said Jim wouldn't find some one else anyway.

A/n: I had this idea for a while, I used to think Trixie belonged with Jim but alas I have practically changed my mind! Of course Jim is still good for her and everything…don't get me wrong.

Also, I am not sure if this is going to continue or not. I kind of like the ending, so for right now I am putting it up as complete.

And if it seems a little run together it is because the web site would not let me keep my spacing from microsoft word. Sucks.

Trixie stared at the darker teen; shuddering with feelings she couldn't put a name to.

Or perhaps, she reasoned to herself, she didn't want to. It would complicate matters.

She blushed a deep red, not realizing till then that she had caught his attention.

Dan saw the different emotions dancing across Trixie's face, but didn't know what to make of them.

He doubted she was busy thinking the same very thoughts he was. She had Jim. And he had his perverse thoughts of her...of her with himself.

He could look at her from afar but never could he cross that line of friendship with her, it would complicate things...besides she still had Jim and was very happy mooning over the boy.

She still had Jim...and he had nothing but a wisp of fleeting thoughts.

"Yes Trixie, may I help you?" He let out a strained chuckle "What's got you so red in the face?"

Of course him bringing attention to that little detail would make it worse, be he also counted on her on getting all huffy about the matter too.

And she did…

"It's rather hot out here is all Dan!" She practically growled, then her voice softened as she added "And no, I just wanted to see what you were doing is all. I was kind of bored, with everyone out dating one another."

Everyone except Jim, her, and himself.

He always seemed so put together to her. She had never seen him blush and only on a few occasions had she seen him loose his cool.

He must think her a child she reasoned with herself.

They all did, all of the boys.

She strived for acceptance; she knew she was a good detective so why would they always question her?

She knew she wasn't pretty, but must they all treat her like a kid sister...well Brian and Mart were her older brothers but that was beside the point. Jim and Dan weren't kin...not unless one would count them as brothers by choice since being a Bob White made you family.

She let out a slight sigh and waved goodbye to the older teen, leaving Mr.Maypenny's. Why she had decided to visit she hadn't a clue.

Why she chose to visit him and not Jim was beyond him...Jim had just arrived home from college the day before. Normally she would be so excited to see him and her brother Brian that she would not leave there sides for very long. But here she was visiting him.

As she turned to leave, he caught her hand in mid wave. "Hey Trix, I think Mr. Maypenny has some fresh lemonade made up...care to join me in the cabin for some?"

She wasn't visiting the red head.., and for some reason she really could care less.

She had Jim, sure, but for how long? He was bound to find some hot chick at college. And right now she felt like living in the present.

She had Jim, but she wanted Dan.

"Yeah, I'd like that."

Jim wasn't here, he was…And besides who ever said she was Jim's? Maybe she was meant to be his…yeah he liked that.

His.
