Forever Waiting
I wake up every morning,
Waiting eternally,
Wondering what will happen,
Hoping that I'll be lifted of this burden,
Once I see you again…
I count the days,
Until I will feel whole again,
Because when you had to go,
Part of me left with you…
When you left,
I know you left a part of yourself with me,
As I did with you,
But your presence that lingers here,
It haunts me…
In the time that we have been apart,
Sanity has grown to be my enemy,
Nothing makes sense anymore,
Nothing seems real…
I feel as if I have been,
Submerged in darkness,
With you as my only light,
To show me the way…
When you left so suddenly,
The light became dimmer…
With each agonizing day that passes,
My desperation to see you grows stronger,
As the light that guides me grows fainter and fainter,
Until I can see nothing but a black abyss…
I have to accept that,
I will be forever lost in darkness,
Because you are not here to guide me,
I can't find my way without you…
