[ Please don't see just a boy caught up in dreams and fantasies.]

There were a lot of times when he wished he could reel back the time and meet her when he is young, when his legs could catch up to her fluid strides, when he would look in the mirror and not see those lines his age has brought upon him: a reminder how his days are numbered while hers are not.

But Fate decided to play a cruel joke and put his princess into a seemingly endless sleep.

He could play the prince and break the spell but how...?

"Why are you so interested in a game?"

"It is simply an expression of love."

All hope has not been lost.

He can get his years back. He can get her back.

And there will be time for their happy ending.

[Please see me reaching out for someone I can't see]

He would visit her before he goes to work and after. It has been too long and there doesn't seem to have any positive progress to her condition.

And indeed, she looks as if she's only sleeping.

He wonders if she has dreams.

He hopes they are good.

[Take my hand, let's see where we wake up tomorrow. Best laid plans sometimes are just for a one night spent]

There are days when he can't help but think the possibility that all these could end.

And maybe he can have something positive to look back to.

[I'll be damned, Cupid's demanding back his arrow]

The only gift she ever accepted from him is a hand crafted picture frame that he made for her. All the other gifts he bought for her were rejected.

Yet there are still some people who think that maybe they are both wrong. That either of them is just using the other for self-gain.

He would think, maybe one of these days what people would say will get to her and he would have a farewell note waiting for him.

[So let's get drunk on our tears]

But she stayed.

And he will not give up.

[And God, tell us the reason. Youth is wasted on the young]

He was smart and he made the right plans and picked the best decisions.

He was a hardworking young man and he loved his job.

[ [It's hunting season and the lambs are on the run]

So much that it became everything that mattered to him.

Then the lines have started to show.

And he has no one by his side.

[Searching for meaning]

When the lights of his success started to dim a little and his stamina can no longer endure the long hours of work, he asks himself what all these riches are for.

[But are we all lost stars]

And wonders if expensive dinners are supposed to be spent alone.

But she came into his life.

Suddenly, the dark seemed a little bit brighter

[Trying to light up the dark?]

This is my first time writing with this kind of theme. Please don't hesitate to tell me something I can improve on from here. Thanks a lot for reading :)
