My first Nodame Cantabile Fanfic. Hope you enjoy.
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN NNNNNNNNNNNNN
Chocolate. Wrappers. I'm in a pile of chocolate wrappers. Chiaki thought to himself as he cleaned up after his neighbor, Nodame. Her family just sent her a whole big box of them and ate all of them while watching the Puri Gorota movie. Again. Amidst of all of these wrappers was Nodame herself sleeping her stomach-ache off.
A vain popped in his head. Why do I have to clean all this up? Curse my OCD. But when he looked at her, he couldn't help but admire her. Her hair was clumpy but it was shiny and it smelled good. Her face is still in pout mode. Her fingers were unconsciously moving as if she was still playing the piano. He knows it's probably Mozart since she grown quite fond of him lately.
Suddenly, her eyes opened and she sprang up. She hurried to the piano and started playing. Moja Moja... he recognized it as.
"Nodame why..."
"I was dreaming I was a kindergarden teacher like I wanted to be. This song just came to me. Although it's a much better life with you as my chef and husband."
"Baka." Chiaki smacked her. "Who are you calling your chef?"
He listened to the song and found that he oddly liked it. It began to get stuck in his head just like the Puri Gorota march but he never told Nodame that.
"Moja Moja." Nodame sang along. "Senpai I just realized I have a lesson in half an hour. Nodame needs to go." She grabbed her piano bag and left.
After the door slammed, Chiaki sat down and started playing Chopin. But it didn't satisfy him. So he played Mozart or Bach but it didn't satisfy him either.
He started playing Moja Moja and found that oddly, he enjoyed it. He started singing along. Just as long as Nodame isn't here. I'll just have fun for a while.
He wrote more phrases to it until it was a long as one of his scores. Even more lyrics. During that time, he consumed a lot of wine left over. Nodame came walking in as he was still playing and listened. Not daring to make a move to end the moment. She listened to all the parts and committed it to memory. He never noticed Nodame behind him and he passed out from being tipsy.
She pushed him out of the way and started to play.
Next morning:
Chiaki got up to Moja Moja. Nodame was beside him playing the kindergarden song.
"You know Sempai. This will be our wedding song."
"Baka." he said while smacking her although he had a smile on his face.
