This is just a silly little idea I had to write a poem expressing the similiar yet unknown sentiments of the tragically romantic couple of Rory and Jess. Please note that it begins as Rory's POV and then switches to Jess'. Thanks for reading!

I forgave you every time
Each time you weren't there for me,
Every time you lied.
How come you stole my heart
And my mind and body too
How do you get inside my head
And make me act the way I do
How do you know me so well
Why are you always on my mind
Compatibility says we're perfect
So then why was fate so unkind
How do we always find each other
No matter the miles or years
How did you know that I was the one
In spite of your sarcastic jeers
How come I still want you
Even though it's a fact that you left
How come I tried to deny you
Why did you leave me bereft
How come you don't love me
How come you always walk away
How come you don't realize
That all I want is for you to stay

I knew I wasn't good enough

Not just then, but now that we're through
