Things you need to know Logan and Rory casually dated but stopped after about three months and Tristan came into the picture and then left to follow family duties. Logan is crushing on Stephanie and Logan and Rory are just friends.

"So, Stephanie said that you kept some stuff from when we were sort of... whatever we were. She thinks you're still into me," Rory told Logan.
"I told Stephanie that I wanted to be with her today. Before she left for Washington," Logan admitted.
"Nice timing," was Rory's commentary on his confession.
"I'm a real piece of work, huh," Logan chuckled. "I mean, everytime I play it in my mind this idiot light keeps flashing in my head like shut up, shut up."
"Yeah," Rory started to agree. "Either you say too much, or, like me with Tristan, you don't say enough and then they're gone."
"Yeah sorry about Tristan."
"Yeah me too. It broke my heart," she confessed.
"It's been a tough year on hearts," he commented. "So it's too bad we had to be this desperate to hang out again, huh?" he asked.
"Well we didn't have to be. We just are," she laughed. "But I'm glad you're here, you know. I know we kind of lost each other for a while. Hopefully that's over, right? Especially considering our history."
"It's always gonna be there, isn't it? You and me." he wondered.
She only nodded her head and continues to stare at the picture of Tristan on her desk.
"You really miss him, huh?"
"Yeah. You know, I've done a lot of things wrong, But I swear I'm a believer."
"In what?"
"In love. Heart wrenching journey taking, truly driven love."
"Where'd you get that from? Lorelai?"
"Tristan. He taught me to see the good in people or look for it at least."
"I want to believe in that kind of love. To not be alone."
"Well you can't be a closed book then. If you don't open up to the people that love you, you'll always be alone."
"I know. You're really lucky Rory."
"Why's that?"
"Because the one person that you love on this entire planet decided to love you back."
"You'll find it Logan. Heartbreaking love is worth it and you'll find it."
"I hope you're right."
"Logan, I know you didn't grow up in a "loving" family but I want you to know something."
"What's that?"
"That you always deserve to be the most important person in somebody's life."
"Tristan's really lucky."
"Yeah he was...maybe still is. If he ever comes back."
"You're worth it so he will."
