Naraku sat in the darkened cell surrounded by skeletons and gloated to himself. He'd finally killed off that pesky hanyou and his ragged band of weaklings, his gaze strayed hungrily to the, now complete, jewel resting on his palm. It practically pulsed with the evil swirling inside.
'Damn, that bastard really did kill us…' Naraku started and slowly looked around the room, no one was in sight and all of his incarnations were died and gone.
'Inuyasha don't curse it'll be a bad influence…' A more feminine voice chided the first, but it was the name that caught him off guard.
'What does it matter, we're dead Kagome…' Naraku stood and clutched the jewel tighter. This was obviously a low level demon trying to unnerve him, he'd sent those pests to hell, there was no way they could be here now.
'You don't have to be so coarse in speaking of our current situation.' Another new male voice chimed in, this one was also eerily familiar.
'But, don't underestimate our situation monk; we still haven't seemed to pass on for some reason.' There was a chorus of disembodied agreements and the living hanyou in the room couldn't hold himself anymore.
"Who are you, show yourself!" He cried whilst looking around wildly.
'Oh, the bastard can hear us can he…? This is gonna be fun… I'm gonna make your life hell…' As this last statement echoed into oblivion, holes starting appearing in the screen covering the doorway.
"Lemme help, Inuyasha! This is gonna be fun, right Kagome…?' A vase in the corner tilting over and crashed into pieces on the floor, as several ghostly laughs faded in and out of existence.
'Yes, Shippo it most certainly will...'
'I'm sure this must be our soul duty in the afterlife…'
'You said it monk…' The first voice didn't bother to comment again as laughter filled the air around Naraku and the building began shaking around him.
'There is no escape…'
The collective voices assured. Naraku screamed, apparently world domination and enemy destruction ain't all it's cracked up to be.
