It was raining hard that memorable night James and Lily Potter died. Sirius had ran towards their house looking frantically for anyone to help. The front door was busted in, furniture thrown everywhere, glass shatters shinning on the blood stained carpet around.Sirius gasped! James! He was sprawled face down in his own blood. A child's cry rang through his ears. He ran through the house knocking over tables and other odds and ends down the hall to a slightly shut door. He tried to force it open but something seemed to block its way.Lilys body.she was also dead. He let out a small cry. All he wanted to do now was crawl in a corner and cry, erase the images of his friends, his best friends bodies out of his mind.
He heard the cry again, right he though, looking up he saw Harry holding on to the railing of his crib, tears stained his face, blood on his forehead where there was now a scar. Sirius forced his way into the room grabbing Harry and a blanket to keep him warm.
As he made his way out of the house carrying his weeping Godson in his arms, he tried to calm Harry, (and himself). He sang the only lullaby he knew.
Hush my love now don't you cry,
Everything will be all right, Close your eyes and drift in dreams,
Rest in peaceful sleep
Harry was now calmed, but every time Sirius started crying so did Harry. Sirius tried to thing back to better times in hopes to keep from losing it. He remembered the times when they all would run through the Forbidden Forest, Opening presents on Christmas Day, bewitching snowballs and sending them on the Slytherins in Hogwarts, and the first time Lily placed Harry in Sirius arms.
If there's one thing I hope I showed you, Hope I showed you, Just give love to all
Sirius looked down at the quite bundle as he made his way out the front door. He thought how would he take care of Harry. He was not a father or even all that responsible, but Lily and James did ask him to be Harry Godfather so they must have had faith in him. Lily won't trust just anyone.
Oh my love.in my arms tight, Everyday you give me life, As I drift off to your world, Will rest in peaceful sleep
As Sirius looked up he was Hargrid and a bunch of Aurus ready to jump him and hall him off to Azkaban for the crime committed earlier by Peter. The murder of the muggles and of Lily and James Potter. Sirius whispered quietly to Harry before handing him over to Hagrid for safekeeping.
I know there's one thing that you showed me, That you showed me, Just give love to all
Sirius handed Harry's small body over to Hagrid. He looked up at him as he handed the keys to his bike to him. "Uses it well," He told Hagrid as he kissed Harry on the head, whispering to Harry one last time
Lets give love to all!
Sirius turned to the Aurus, trying to put up one last good fight before being sent away.
