"...Let me try to understand your methods of thought here. We have the power to travel through space and time , the power to stop others from damaging the timeline to unrecognixeable levels, and you say no? You say DO NOT GET INVOLVED!, HMMM!" The First Doctor argued to the high council of Timelords.

"It is not our place to interfere. We are but humble observers of the timeline Dear cannot be heald accountable as the timeline peace officers. We observe, we take notes, but other wise we do not get involved." The Lord President rebutted.

"Well my boy thats just... THAT is a boooore!" The First Doctor crossed his arms, pouting.

"The Matter is closed Doctor. If you are caught meddling with time again,in any way shape or form, it will not only be suspension from the TARDIS, there will be a more harsh punishment." The Lord President sternly ordered.

"Like what hmm? Bore me to death!" Sarcastically spat the Doctor

"Force Regeneration Doctor. I do not want to do that, but you have been warned over and over again about this specific matter. If you do this again, you will have wasted one of your bodies on something so basic, so primary." The Lord President banged his gavel onto the table and quickly dissapeared behind the curtain ,to his chambers.

'Silly old coots, so tired of this boring place' The Doctor thought as hes stepped down from the trial stand. His Granddaughter ,Susan, waited outside the capital for his return. She entertained her self by playing in the fountain by the entrance.

"Susan, my dear." Calls the Doctor as he walked from the entrance.

"Yes Grandfather, i'm coming." Susan stood from the Fountain and they proceeded to make their way home for the evening.

"So what did they say this time Grandfather?" Susan asked as they strolled along the path to the Doctors humble abode.

"Well my dear...they didnt say much that i gave a hoot about." Chuckled the Doctor and Susan. Their home wasn't very far from the Citadel to they arrived rather quickly. The Doctor opened the Door , shed his black coat, and returned it to its hook on the adjacent wall. Susan was already comfy, on her spot on the couch as she waited for her grandfather.

The Doctor stood by the door for a moment looking out the window beside it at the sky.

"Grandfather?" Susan called.

"Yes, sorry was a bit distracted my dear..." The Doctor Made his way to the living room. "Susan before you put the kettle on, i do have something i need to discuss with you dear." The Doctor came and sat in front of her in his Victorian Armchair.

"Susan , since your parents left ,youve been in my charge..."

The Doctor grabbed her hand and deeply peered into her eyes.

"And my dear, I'm so sorry they dissapeared. I never could find them, none of us could."

"Oh it not your fault Grandfather. The Medusa Cascade is ,and always has been, unstable. Theres no telling what happened to them. I just choose not to think of it."Susan reassured her Grandfather.

"Yes yes well, you see i plan on making my leave of this boring planet very soon... very soon. Its been on my mind for quite some time. Well before your parents left for their mission all those years ago. Now with how things have gotten with the council, it seems like there will never be a better time. Susan...i want you to come with me. So much time, and space at our fingertips my dear." The Doctor motioned his hands out as he elaborated.

"Grandfather HA HA HA." Susan stood up and chuckled as she went to put the kettle on.

"Hmmmph, Are you trying to say something Susan?"

"Grandfather you have been suspended of all TARDIS privilidges for the next fifty years. What do you want to break in to the shop and steal one?" Susan asked sarcastically and continued to chuckle.

"Well...that was my plan. Oh thank you..." The Doctor took his cup of tea from susan as she came back and sat down.

"Your Welcome. I just dont know if its possible. Do you really think we could steal a TARDIS and actually get away with it?" Susan slurped some Tea.

"Manners dear... Yes i very much do. We are no common vagrants, and the building itself is very lightly secured. It should be a snap." The Tea cup and saucer clinked in the Doctors hand.

"Well then Grandfather...I trust you. If you really want to leave, im all for it." Susan replied with a smile.

"Well now Susan, Before we start grabbing our luggage. I want you to understand something. If we did eventually get caught, there would be standing consequences for me, and you as well. They could very well exile us to some desolate planet, with no means of escape. Is this a risk your willing to take." The Doctor pointed his finger at her and looked very sternly upon her.

"Hmm...yes Grandfather, i very much am!" Susan smiled at her funny Grandfather.

"Well then..." The Doctor stood from his seat, "This dosent mean you will be skipping on your lessons my dear. What ever planet we decide to plant ourselves on you will be attending school. No matter how primitive they are."

"Yes Grandfather. Should i help you pack, or go pack myself?" Susan stood and went to find their old stasis cubes.

"Yes yes my dear, please just grab a few of my suits like i am wearing now. I do find them to be most fitting, dont you?" The Doctor grabbed the lining of his coat and tugged on it in a most dignified pose. Susan chuckled before she replies.

"Yes yes Grandfather most fitting." Susan grins as her Grandfather looks a bit silly.

"Oh and my screwdriver. It was a gift from my Grandfather, and i wouldnt want it left here, to be bored. Now my dear, off you go. I must rest i have a bit of planning to do you see." The Doctor shooed her away to go and pack for there very long holiday coming up soon. The Doctor walked around his humble abode and gazed at his own portraits, as well as his family ones.

'So many memories...' He thought to himself... 'Yes i will miss you my sweet' his thoughts took him back to a time so long ago now. A time where he and his darling wife took strolls through the fields of red grass, under the burnt orange sky. She always wanted to go and explore more, but he remembered always talking her out of it. Saying,

"oh thats rubbish dear, the council wouldnt allow it."

He would visit his daughter, and son in law to play with Susan. She was so young, still young. He remembered the day her parents went into the medusa cascade for an advanced study in temporal dynamics. Nothing since then. No messages, no telepathic contact, nothing. Tears well up in his eyes at all of this time they've been gone, but he quickly breaks the trance. 'Must move forward' He thought to himself 'Dorothy wouldnt have it any other way' He turned away from the portraits.

"Susan, yes Susan my dear..." The Doctor calls for her.

"Yes Grandfather?" She scurries back from her room.

"Yes i neglected to tell you we shall be leaving very soon so we must be post haste." The Doctor rushes.

"Yes Grandfather, " she then scurried on back to her room to pack the stasis cube.

An hour passed and they are halfway to the shop now.

"Grandfather why did you grab that old walking stick? You know you can get special works done on your back to fix those problems you have." Susan Teases.

"Hmm well yes i sort of like my walking stick, adds whats it you children call it, pizaaazzz!" The Doctor makes a funny face to Susan as he replies.

They came upon the TARDIS workshop. The Doors were unlocked of course and they were able to slip by the chancellors guard out front. They creeped around a wall to see a gap where a door way was. The Doctor motioned for Susan to stay where she was, he was to cross it first. He tiptoeed to the Door way, and curved his eye around to see two workmen on lunch at the moment. As quietly as a ninja he tiptoed to the other side. He then signaled for Susan to follow. She did the same as her Grandfather and successfully snuck by the two workmen. Then aound the next corner they found a line of TARDIS's to choose from.

"Just go to the last one. Its always the one ready to be shipped back to its owner because they have fixed it my dear." The Doctor whispered to his Grandaughter. So they quickly made there way down to the last TARDIS in line.

"Quickly, my dear Quickly!" The Doctor loudly whispered as Susan Shuffles into the TARDIS.

"Doctor?" A soft voice whispers.

The Doctor stopped as he heard another voice call out to Doctor looked to his right and seen a young woman with long brown hair standing there two TARDIS's up from him.

"Yes what is it? What do you want?" He sternly replied, no longer whispering.

Her face was grave as she stared at him, and in that brief moment, there for some reason ,The Doctor felt some unspoken kinship.

She then leaned against the TARDIS, arms folded and In a less serious tone she said; "Sorry. But you're about to make a very big mistake. Don't steal that one, steal this one. The navigation system's knackered, but you'll have much more fun." A grin formed from ear to ear on her face.

The Doctor looked back into his TARDIS and called for Susan to come along.

"Yes Grandfather? We must hurry." Says Susan.

"We must take that one there, " he pointed to the TARDIS where the girl was standing, at this point though she had dissapeared.

"Fine fine, lets get on with it!" Susan exclaimed and they shuffled into the other TARDIS.

Quickly they closed the doors and The Doctor sets coordinates for the first planet to come to mind. They then began to De matierialize. When The TARDIS began to make some very interesting sounds.

"What is that atrocious sound Grandfather?" Asked Susan as she leaned on the console

"Seems the parking break is malfunctioning, ill have to get around to fixing it my dear." Said the Doctor as he fiddled with different buttons and levers.

The Ride is a bit bumpy but they make it to there destination. The TARDIS materialized on a dark night in London. In the center of a junkyard to say the least. They understood very soon, that life was about to get very interesting.
