It seemed as an ordinary day, Until it happened. Chisaki's parents seemed happy to let her participate in the Ofunehiki. It was as Chisaki and Kaname were walking up a flite of stairs, was where it happened. "I was just doing whatever I could so I'd have more opportunities to be together with you." Kaname said, causing Chisaki to freeze in her spot. "You know, Chisaki...You might have had your hands full with your feelings for Hikari. But I did actually confess to you, too." "O-Of course, I didn't forget. I am really thinking about it." Chisaki stuttered as a tint of pink spread across her cheeks.
"Even if we do end up asleep and wake up at different times, the fact that I love you won't change." Kaname spoke in a soft tone. "Just don't forget that."
Before Kaname could walk away, he felt Chisaki's arms quickly wrap around his neck. "Chisa-" Kaname was interupted by Chisaki. "Kaname. I can't return your feelings, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I'm in love with Hikari, I knew it was wrong. I haven't only hurt myself, I've hurt you." Chisaki's words got quieter and tears started streaming down her face. "Kaname, I want to love you. I want to tell you that I love you, I want to be with you. My feelings won't let me, its my fault. I'm sorry."
Kaname felt his heart break at the sound of Chisaki's pain. He broke free from her embrace, causing Chisaki to look at him wide eyed for a moment. "Chisaki." He said with a voice filled with care. He pulled her into a tight hug, to which she quickly returned.
"Chisaki, its enough for me to know that you want to be with me." They remained like that for a while, they pulled apart once Chisaki stopped crying. "Do you think I'll ever stop loving Hikari?" Chisaki asked with a cracked voice. "I hope so. I didn't know that you dis-liked feeling that way about Hikari." Kaname said with a small smile. "We've been friends for a long time and all, I just don't like thinking of him in a romantic way." She answered while rubbing her eyes.
"I want to try. Go out with me and I'll try my best to change your feelings." Kaname said while grabbing Chisaki's wrist. Chisaki nodded. "I think we should keep this a secret until we know whats going to happen between us." Chisaki said. "Alright. The Ofunehiki is tonight, We will only have a little time to spend together before we hibernate." Kaname said as he continued walking.
"What if I don't wake up? What if you don't wake up? This scares me..." Chisaki said which caused Kaname to stop walking.
Kaname swiftly turned around and grabbed Chisaki's shoulders and pulled her closer until their lips pressed together. He kissed her for a few seconds.
When they pulled away, Chisaki looked suprised. "I'll wake up first. Then I'm going to wake you up. On the odd chance that none of us wakes up, at least we've had that kiss." Kaname's words made Chisaki smile.
Chisaki continued to walk a meter behind Kaname. The scene of their kiss continued to replay in her head. It made her smile and feel happy every time. 'Thank you, Kaname.' She thought as she caught up with him. They walked beside eachother.
