As the birds began to sing outside my window I knew that it was finally an 'appropriate' time to get out of bed, as my mother had warned me the night before.
"You need to get a good sleep for school starting tomorrow." She had scolded me and my brothers. As if that would be likely in this house.
I creeped out of bed so as not to wake my brother and headed down to the kitchen for some breakfast. I checked the time as I walked into the kitchen and noticed it was half past 6.
"Not too early." I said to myself as I poured some cereal and sat down at the table to eat, thinking how much my life would change in just a few short hours.
My name is Bella Weasley and I am the twin sister of Ronald Weasley. I come from a huge family with 6 brothers and 1 little sister and I knew that it was going to be difficult going from living at home and being close to my parents to travelling hundreds of miles to go to school in the North of Scotland.
I was drawn from my thoughts as a figure loomed in the doorway and I looked up to see it was my sister Ginny and she had been crying.
"What's wrong Ginny?" I asked as she sat down beside me.
"You and Ron are leaving for Hogwarts today. I'm going to be all alone now." She said.
"Hey. Don't be silly you're not alone at all. You've got Mum and Dad. And your friend Luna only lives over the hill." I said, giving her a hug.
"It's not the same though. I'm going to miss you." She sniffed.
"I'm going to miss you too Gin. Why don't we make a pact to write as often as we can huh?" I asked, pulling back to look at her as she began to smile.
"I'd like that." She said.
"Good. Do you want some cereal?" I asked as I headed over to the cupboard and grabbed a bowl.
"Yes please." Ginny said.
I poured her some cereal and sat it down in front of her before I heard the mutterings of my mother coming towards the kitchen.
"Oh!" She gasped as she walked into the kitchen, too caught up in whatever she was doing to notice us.
"Morning mum!" We chorused as she set about making breakfast for the rest of the house.
"Morning girls. Bella are you all packed." She asked.
"Yes mum, I packed Ron's trunk last night too because I knew he would leave it until last minute like he does with everything else." I said.
"Thank you sweetie." She said, kissing the top of my head. "Do you want something cooked?" She asked us.
"No thank you." We both answered.
"I'm going to get ready now if no one needs into the bathroom." I said, heading for the stairs.
"Wake Ron on your way please." My mum called after me as I made my way up the many, many stairs my home housed.
I tiptoed as quietly into our room as I could and of course Ron was still sleeping. I stood over his bed and jumped, as hard as I possibly could, on top of him. A groan escaping from under the covers.
"Geroff you fat lump." He said as he pulled the covers from under me and I fell to the ground.
"Get up you big oaf." I said pulling the covers off of him.
"What time is it." Ron asked.
"Half 7." I said as I grabbed my toiletries bag and headed towards the bathroom. "Remember the rules, down stairs no later than half 10." I called over my shoulder.
I spent the next half an hour in the bathroom, I styled my hair in a half up and half down style and decided on a pair of jeans and one of Charlie's old Ramones hoodies.
Ever since Charlie had moved to Romania he had become obsessed with muggle music and his favourite band was the Ramones. I managed to steal the hoodie I had when he last visited and he said I could keep it.
I opened the bathroom door to see Fred, George and Ron had formed a line outside.
"Take your time why don't you, not like there's other people with places to be." Fred said, sarcasm dripping off his tongue as he pushed past me into the bathroom.
"Sorry I didn't realize I had been so long." I said as I stepped out of the way of the oncoming bathroom door swinging shut.
"It's fine." George sighed as I ascended the stairs to my room.
I put everything I had used that morning into my trunk and carried it to the garage for my dad to put it in the car.
"Here you go dad." I said before I took a look at the car. "Are you sure we're all going to fit in there?"
"Of course, your mother has her ways and I have mine." He said, tapping the car with the tip of his wand and I immediately clicked on to what he meant.
"Our secret." I smiled, tapping the side of my nose with my finger.
"That's my girl." My dad said to my back and I headed into the kitchen to wait for all of the hassle to blow over.
