Late Night

"You blood sucking son of a bitch!" Celluci shouted as he sat down.

"Hey! You can call me a bastard all you want, but you will not disrespect my mother! She was a saint who deserved much better than she got from dear old dad."

"Sorreee." He shrugged. "Didn't realize you were that sensitive."

"Whatever." Henry huffed, "It's your move."

"But you still cheated." Mike just couldn't let it go.

"Celluci, I don't have to cheat. I was doing this when your ancestors were trying to learn how to build a boat to get to this country."

"What's your point, Your Majesty? Cheating is cheating, no matter how old you are or what you lineage is."

"My point is that I have no need to cheat. I'm good."

"You might want to rephrase that."

"Fine. I'm good at this."

"Not really."

"Yes, really."

"Then why have I come out on top the last two?"

"I've been letting you win. I didn't think your mortal ego could take defeat after defeat."

"My ego, mortal or otherwise, is none of your beeswax, Fitzroy."

"Beeswax? Did you just say beeswax? No one has said that in about 90 years, Celluci. Why don't you join the rest of us in the 21st century?"

"Maybe later. Right now, I'm just going to finish you off. It's late, I'm hungry and I can't listen to Vicki snore much longer, or I'll have to suffocate her."

"I know." Henry grinned. "Loud, isn't she?"

"This is actually pretty quiet for her." Celluci shrugged a little. "She had a head cold once, and every time she fell asleep, I would've sworn I was directly under the main flight path at the airport."

"Yeah, you wouldn't think that cute little nose could produce such an annoying sound, would you?"

"Yup," Mike nodded, "she usually only sounds that annoying when she's awake."

"Ouch."

They froze where they were as they heard the voice of their favorite p. i. rise from the sofa, "Just so you boys know, you'll be paying for those remarks for a really, really long time."

"So. Crown me."

"Cheater."
