Sasori's POV

It took some effort to heave myself up. Yet again, it was raining. I loathed rain. It made my joints ache and my body stiff. The downside of being a puppet.

There was a knock on my door.

"What do you want?" I growled. I was in a particularly bad mood.

"It's just me. Hm."

"Oh, well? Come in."

Deidara pushed open the door and stepped inside. "Pein – Sama asked for you. You have a visitor."

I scoffed. A visitor for a member of the Akatsuki was always a greedy feudal lord convinced that we own him money. Never the less, I had to greet the visitor either way or Pein will have my head on a stake.

"Very well."

I didn't bother putting on Hiruko, no need for him.

I saw Pein at the front gate of the hideout. I annoyed me how he wouldn't tell me who the visitor was. Furthermore, as he saw me coming, he beckoned to the shadows and left.

I arrived at the gate. There was no one around. This better not be a joke or he won't live to hear me complain.

A shape stepped out of the darkness.

"It's been a while, Sasori."

I heard that voice before.

The figure became more defined. Finally, fully visible.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw her. She began to walk to me.

Yuki.

I had left her when I chose to join the Akatsuki. Overridden with guilt, that's when I decided to turn myself into a puppet. So I couldn't feel love for her anymore.

"You left me." Tears dripped down her face.

"I gave up everything so I could be with you." Now there was a steady stream.

My heart lurched. This isn't suppose to happen! Puppets don't feel! Yet again, I felt something gnawing at my insides.

She continued to walk towards me.

"It hurts…." She cried.

My mind was spinning madly.

I spoke, barely audible. "I'm sorry."

"You can say that a million times, but it doesn't mean anything anymore." She cried.

"It hurts…." Her voice grew cold.

"I tried to heal your arm! Honest, I did everything I could!" I was almost screaming now.

"Sasori, humans aren't like puppets. Once they're broken, they can't be fixed again. It wasn't only my arm that was broken. My heart was too."

I was stunned.

She stopped walking. Then, she smiled. Sad and sorrow filled.

"All these years, and I never thought I'd see you again." I murmured.

"I did." She whispered.

The air chilled with her voice.

"Good-bye Sasori."

Yuki collapsed to the ground. I ran over to her and knelt down. I pressed my ear to her heart and listened for her heartbeat.

Silence.

She was dead.

Normal POV

Sasori had turned his beloved into a puppet. She still hangs on the wall of his room. Now and forever.
