King Edward has not been the ruler of England for long, his father death made him see more clearly through the eyes. Still, a young child Edward didn't understand the importance it was of being a King of England. Elizabeth was staying at the Palace along with Mary, both sisters refused to leave their brother's side for a few months. Elizabeth agreed to stay until June though. Catherine Parr still was seen as a mother in Elizabeths eyes.
It was early the next morning when Elizabeth was awoken to the sounds of screams and gunshots. She sprang out of bed and looked out the Bedroom window. Her chamber door burst open and Lady Kat stood there. She quickly said in a Quiet and worry whisper.
"Elizabeth the palace is under attack. We must leave now-" Elizabeth cuts in the sentence.
"What of my brother and sister, Where are they?" Kat shrugs her shoulders and grabs Elizabeth's hand. Pulling her out the chamber which was just set on fire with them nearly still inside.
They run down the spiral stairs leading out to the gardens. They ran quickly through the gardens, looking behind every few seconds, making sure nobody was behind them. Sunlight had just started and when they reached a carriage Elizabeth stared towards the palace, and to her horror, she saw Edward and Mary being dragged outside covered in blood and bruises though still conscious.
Kat saw and pulled Elizabeth close, holding her in her arms not wanting Elizabeth to see what was about to happen as she already knew. Edward and Mary's body was thrown into a fire, the fire was not large bit still painful. Their screams made Elizabeth shake in horror. Until their screams of pain got so loud, Elizabeth knew they were to die. Once no sound was heard, Elizabeth looked behind and saw her dead sibling's heads being cut off and put onto spikes. She let tears fall from her eyes and didn't look away until their carriage window was out of view.
I am still deciding the name of a next Royal family of England. Elizabeth will be fighting for her throne. If you sense a Game of Thrones vibe, I am not sure whether I want that but if so. I want Elizabeth to be married to Tommen who will be a year older than Elizabeth.
