Hey everyone! So earlier last year, my girlfriend convinced me to watch Minecraft Diaries. It took a good while into the series, but halfway through season one, I was hooked. To the point where she and I began a role-play of it, with a few differences here and there, like Irene's appearance.
Basically, this story upcoming is entirely created by our RP, and it follows the story of our two girls, Finella (my OC) and Aurora (her OC).
Finella is a creature of my own creation within this world, belonging to a hidden tribe of half-bunny people known as Taguels (I credit Fire Emblem for the name, although the Taguels within that series were unspecific 'beasts' that could turn into humans. She's just a constant human-form with bunny ears and tail), gifted with incredible speed but low stamina. She can also jump higher (by Minecraft standards, three blocks rather than one with an increased fall damage of five blocks) and has heightened hearing and smell. Basically, if a bunny can do it, so can she. The only changes to story she provides is the idea that there may be more to Irene's followers, as her people are a more timid, peaceful race of chroniclers. They maintain stories from all over, passing them down from generation to generation to protect history without bias in a hidden home. Finella, on the other hand, came to prefer adventure and left to explore the world as it is instead of hearing how it was. She can't read the language of the world, but over time she came to understand speaking it at the very least. Headstrong and impatient, she'd happily fight anyone that annoys her even slightly, and she definitely doesn't like being called "cute", "bunny", or "rabbit", which means she's also incredibly reckless in her fighting. She's a dual-wielder with a dagger and sword, although she prefers to use her dagger, since it's lighter and easier to attack with in quick succession. Her only defense is a single chest plate she found at some point, since she doesn't want to be weighed down too much. Shockingly, her favorite foods are meats.
Aurora is the big story changer. Another creature of original creation, Aurora is a Vouivre (French for "Wyvern"); simply put, she's also a half-human, accompanied by a pair of multi-colored horns on the side of her head and light scaling along her body to match. The last of her kind with no memories to explain much about herself, she now wanders the land in search for any sign that she may not be the only one. Opposite Finella, she's calm and a little shy, self-conscious about her horns but honestly gentle and loving. She doesn't wield weaponry, but she does contain magicks that aid in construction. Think of it almost like world edit, in the sense that so long as she has the raw material, she can manipulate it to build rather than having to move about and place each block individually. She also is the one primarily replacing Aphmau in this story. Granted, while she is kind-hearted, she has no tolerance towards those who are cruel, such as Zane. She'd try to tolerate it, being Lord and all, but even her patience can wear thin. She also has a serious soft spot for babies, whereas Finella can't stand them under the excuse that they're too noisy, needy, and fragile. Aurora is the better half of the duo, keeping Finella in check and even helping to better her, while Finella's outgoing personality rubs off a little onto her.
Since the RP was a bit more of a back-and-forth, and the idea is that MCD was intended to be a diary-like story, I'll be editing it to be completely from the view of Finella, who took it upon herself to write their journey together since meeting in Phoenix Drop in a journal. Of course, since she can't understand written 'common', it would be in her people's language instead, which could also be seen as a protective measure against unwanted eyes.
