So there I was, writing diligently on the next chapter (lie) when out of the blue, I was inspired to write something about the newest chapter of One Piece.

And so, prepare yourself for some yet more Luffy x Nami fluff to clog the interwebs.

Don't own One Piece.

Favorite Spot

It had seemed like an okay idea at the time.

"How about you sleep with me tonight Momo-chan?" Nami suggested as she crushed the small boy into her chest. She missed the gloating grin he gave Sanji, Brook, and his father, and their subsequent fits of jealousy.

He had agreed, and she fell asleep with him cradled in her arms.

It was probably the middle of the night when she felt movement, and giggled slightly. "Stop it Momo-chan, that tickles."

She was surprised when, rather than a small voice submitting to her request, she was instead encircled by a pair of strong arms, pulling her lightly into someone's chest.

She was at first cautious, wondering if they were being attacked by unknown assailants, the paltry guard of Ussop and Chopper having done nothing to stop them.

That idea was quickly tossed aside when she heard light snoring just above her head.

Then her brain settled on the idea that either Kinemon or Sanji (Brook being left out for obvious reasons) had snuck into the girls room to take the place of Momonosuke.

She tried to pull away and see who it was, only to come face to face with an angry, X-shaped red scar.

Before she could call out to her rubbery captain and ask why the hell he'd deemed it fit to sneak into her bed in the dead of night, she heard him mumble something in his sleep.

"Stupid Momo. This is my spot."

At those words, she could feel her heart beat just a little bit faster, and knew that her face had heated up by just a few degrees.

She smiled, and snuggled closer into his warm body.

"Just this once," she said quietly, "I'll let it slide."

And so, when she woke up in the morning and found that Momonosuke had been pushed quite unceremoniously onto the floor, his face firmly planted into the boards, she couldn't quite get all of her strength into hitting her captain upside the head.

Welp, that's that.

I hope you enjoyed it, and I promise that the next chapter of Questions will be out soon. Above and Beyond the Call of Duty will follow shortly after that.

Later.
