The Paper Bag

Face came running back to the Vette holding a small paper bag.

"What was so important that we had to stop, Face?" Hannibal questioned impatiently. Looking at his watch he said, "B.A. and Murdock are expecting us to meet them in ten minutes. As it is we are cutting it close…and we still need to knock B.A. out before boarding that plane."

"I know, I know," Face said. He flashed Hannibal a crooked grin and said, "I have a plan."

"I'm the one who is supposed to do make the plans," Hannibal reminded the younger man. When Face failed to say any more he asked, "So, you care to enlighten me, Lieutenant?

"Not really…you'll just have to wait and see," Face teased.

Hannibal smirked, "I do believe you're on the jazz!" He then added, "Am I this annoying when I'm on the jazz?"

Face nodded his head and replied, "Yes…times ten."

Less than thirty minutes later Hannibal and Face were carrying an unconscious B.A. aboard a small aircraft as Murdock got to work in the cockpit. Face pulled out the paper bag and revealed it's contents.

"Duct tape?" Hannibal exclaimed.

"Yes, duct tape." Face started to tear off strips. "Instead of going through the hassle of tying B.A. up with rope and then having to undo those darn knots, I thought we'd give the silver stuff a try."

Hannibal watched as Face wrapped the tape around B.A.'s bejeweled hands and then around his tube sock covered ankles. He coked an eyebrow and asked, "You think this is going to work? B.A. is awfully strong…"

Face cut him off, "…and so is duct tape. Plus, it is going to come in handy later as well."

"How?"

Again Face said, "You'll just have to wait and see."

"The jazz really does not agree with you," Hannibal teased.

"Ah, but it is a heck of a lot of fun," Face smiled. "I can see why you're hooked on it."

They landed a few hours later without incident…that is until B.A. woke up before they had time to exit the plane.

"I'm on a plane! I'm on a plane!" he fumed.

Face looked over at Hannibal and Murdock and held up the roll of duct tape. "Now for the second phase of what I like to call "Operation Duct Tape". He ripped off a small piece and strategically placed it over B.A.'s still moving mouth.

Murdock shook his head and said, "You are a brave man, Facey!"

Hannibal pulled a cigar out of his pocket and offered it to Face. "Every man deserves a last smoke before he is executed."

Face accepted the cigar, looked B.A. in the eyes and explained, "This is payback for the last three fine restaurants B.A. has gotten me blacklisted from due to his 'Bad Attitude'. I don't expect that to happen again anytime soon, right?"

The anger faded from B.A's eyes and he stopped mumbling expletives from under the tape as he realized he had this coming to him. He had embarrassed Face pretty good; he wasn't one to dish it out without being ready to take some in.

"Right, B.A.?" Face asked again to which B.A. nodded his head admitting defeat.

Hannibal and Murdock looked at each other in awe; B.A. hung his head in shame; and Face sat back, lit his cigar and said, "I love it when a plan sticks together!"
