Disclaimer: Oh, poopie, you know I don't own. If I did, I wouldn't be worrying about money right now, and I definitely wouldn't be writing fanfiction.
A/N: Okay, yes, I know that this isn't the greatest but I've been suffering from writer's block and I have to write something everyday to keep my writing fresh. I know, it's not the best but, it surely can't be that bad, can it? Oh, chapter 5 of BLP is almost done (part of my 'writing something everyday') and chapter 14 of HTLAS is nowhere near done. Yeah...
Oh, and yes, I LIKE this pairing. Although there is nothing actually on them except one story. That is just sad, seeing as how this is a pretty cute couple.
WARNING: As with most of my fics, this is a bit fluffy and uber cute (yes, I know it doesn't have the symbols above the 'u'. Give me a break. I can't do them on ffnet without uploading them in the document.
Faithful
He wasn't the smartest nail in the bunch, but she didn't mind. It wasn't as though they had to have intelligent conversations to know how they felt. He didn't have to use his 'ya know?' at the end of each sentence and she didn't have to answer with one word repartee's.
It wasn't necessary. Rai had only to look into her unusually colored eyes and he knew that she was everything that he could never be (not just talking about gender) and yet, she didn't care. She could have had Seifer, if she'd wanted him. She could have had him or any other male in the area if she wanted.
But she chose Rai. She chose him. Rai: the beefy, thick-as-a-post, annoying, man that had stood by her and Seifer's side since the beginning. Rai had once asked her why she chose him. She had smirked (Fuu, smile?) and answered in her usual fashion.
"Faithful."
Rai didn't understand and Fuu merely continued smirking. No matter how much Rai thought on it, he couldn't understand her 'cryptic' message. It had finally sunk in when Olette had led him aside and told him what that one word meant.
And Rai felt as dumb as everyone thought he was. He couldn't even figure out what his own girlfriend had been trying to say. He was faithful. He'd never leave; never back down- never let anything happen to her. He had more in character, as Olette called it, than any other man in Twilight Town, besides Roxas and she had never been interested in the blond boy who was the same stature as her.
And Rai understood, though he still didn't feel worthy of her. She was special, with her red eyes, her blue silver hair, her carefully guarded heart; the fact that she had let Rai in, meant so much to him.
So, in the end, he didn't need to understand what she always said, because she hardly said anything. In the end, she never had to explain, because it didn't matter.
No matter what she said, he'd never be unfaithful.
A/N: Whoo, that didn't take so long to read, now was it? Now, I have no clue what to call this. It's not the required length for a drabble and it's not long enough for a oneshot. Mini-oneshot? Oh, great, now I have Queen Minnie in my head. Stupid brain, making such stupid jumps. Gah, okay, I'm tired. It's after two in the morning where I am, so I'm going to go to bed.
