I was standing on my plate waiting for the gong. 30 29 28... I saw everything that happened all of a sudden.
*flashback*
"ITSEL JONES" screeched the ugly escort with her "capital couture" I suddenly froze. That was my best friend! I almost collapsed to the ground but I come to my senses quickly.
"I VOLANTEER AS TRIBUTE"I yell at the top of my lungs. I walk up to the stage as fast as I could.
"Whats your name dear?" said the annoying escort.
"Skylar Tran" I said in a confident way.
"SKY DON'T GO" I heard. My best friend Travis was the one who yelled. The escort then called the boy. I didn't care who it was.
"WELCOME FROM DISTRICT 7 SKYLAR TRAN AND JAMES BARBER!" Right then I was ushered into the justice building. The only person who showed up was Travis.
"Why did you do it Sky?" he asked. I didn't answer. He grasps my hand.
"I need to tell you something" he said looking into my eyes. Then in one sudden motion he grasps my face and kisses me. I am at first surprised but I soon lean into the kiss. The doors open and a peacekeeper grabs me and pulls me to the train.
"I LOVE YOU TRISTEN" I yelled just as the doors close.
*End of flashback*
10 9 8... I poisoned my feet in running stance. 4 3 2 1... Let the games begin.
