Who would've guessed
Eyes. Everywhere those horrible judging eyes. The disgusting human students gawked at the joined hands of paranormal enthusiast and the irken invader. "Dib thing Why must the humans stare so intensely at us?" Zim looked up at his new companion who chuckled a bit, "well Zim, i dont really think any of them expected to ever see us together." "Nonsense, we've always been together!" "Not like that, I meant as a couple." Zim only responded with a victorious smile and squeeze of Dibs hand. Dib knew Zim was more than proud to have eluded the idiotic students.
The tip of the toes
"Zim please let me help you, you're going to hurt yourself." Dib watched as the undertall irken attempted to reach for the top shelf of a kitchen cabinet. "Nonsense! Zim won't be defeated." Rolling his eyes, Dib pulled up a chair and continue watching his persistent partner fail. He thought it was actually kinda cute how Zim had to have his small victories. He found himself smiling at effort the alien was putting into retrieving whatever it was he wanted. "Why don't you use those pak legs you like so much?" Zim snapped his head around and shot a glare at Dib. "I have to get it myself." "But isn't the pajamas just an extension of yourself? " Another glare and Dibs hands went up in defense, "Ok sorry!" One final stretch and Zim won his battle. "Aha! See Dib I did it without any assistance."
Paracon
Dib was lying about moping because he didn't posses the finances to afford a plane ticket to paracon this year. Paracon was this huge paranormal convention that he and Zim have been going to since they first became friends. This would be the first year that they wouldn't get to go. It really sucked because this year Dib was finally a full time paranormal investigator actually working for the swollen eyeball network. He let out another heaving sigh, if it weren't for his car breaking down he would have the money to go.
Zim hated to see Dib moping around like this, so he did everything in his power to make Dibs smile come back. He had a little surprise for the scythe haired boy and he wanted to wait for the right moment to give it to him. What a better time than as soon as possible?
"Dib? Are you in here?" Zim voice cut through the metal door of their bedroom where Dib was lying face down in the fluffy sheets. A very muffled "yes." was the only response he got, so he opened up the door and strode in. "Get up Dib, I have something for you." A lump in the bed started moving and Zim assumed the lump to be none other than his human companion. Suddenly Dibs messy hair could be seen emerging for the mess of blankets and sheets. "What did you say?" The human blinked some sleep out of his eyes and give in to a long yawn. "I said, I have something for you." The irkens voice was full of excitement which didn't go unnoticed. "What is it?" Dib asked. "See for yourself." Zim pulled an envelope from his pak and placed it into Dibs hands. Slowly at first the black haired boy carefully peeled open the envelope, but upon seeing the logo for para con torn into it with such ferocity that Zim stepped back a few inches in fear. He yanked the tickets out and held them in disbelief. "Zim how did you get these?" Honey fixed on the tickets in his pale hands, he couldn't see the satisfied smirk across his lovers face. "I did anything I had to do to make my Dib happy." Was his simple response. Serious eyes met magenta ones. "You didn't hurt anyone did you?" "No of course not. I just did some work for your father and he paid me handsomely enough to afford them." Zim didn't expect the pair of arms that captured his neck and before he knew it he had been pulled into the tangled mess that was their bed. Kisses covering his whole face. "I'm glad I succeeded in the return of your happiness."
