Dean had made deals before. He'd made crossroad deals, kissed demons, and fought them just the same after. This was different. It started with the telltale flutter of feathers that meant wings that meant angels. Dean had spun around to find Cas. Castiel angel of the MIA God, son of the wayward father, and honorary Winchester. The only other person esteemed enough to be an honorary Winchester was Bobby. "Dean." Castiel had said in that way he said things. His gravelly voice making everything sound stoic and important.

"Hey Cas." Dean smiled as he offered Cas some of his lukewarm beer. The angel declined as he moved closer to the elder brother.

"I...wish to make a deal." He said awkwardly. Dean noted the fact that Cas hadn't made eye contact the whole time and it was getting weird.

"Ok so summon a demon and let's get this thing started." Dean replied happily. Demons he got. Easy peasy.

"Not with a demon. With you Dean." He said.

"Well who the hell would make a deal with a bastard who won't even look him in the eyes?" Dean demanded. Castiel acted like he didn't even notice and he began making hesitant eye contact. "What deal?" Dean asked.

"I...don't know." Castiel said.

"Ok Cas. What's up? You're acting freaky and it's gettin weird." Dean declared. Castiel looked around awkwardly for a moment before kissing Dean. On the mouth. Dean faltered, his arms sticking out on either side of him, not knowing what to do.

"I wanted to kiss you but the only way I could think of approaching the subject was to make a deal with you." Castiel explained.

"Um...why'd you wanna kiss me?" Dean asked.

"Because I like you Dean." Castiel replied as if it were obvious. Dean said nothing for a long time.

"You're so awkward." Dean laughed as he grabbed Cas and pulled him close before he resumed kissing him.
