to yours having some "private time" and mine accidentally walking in

There was growing impatience in the room as they all sat in the council chambers waiting to begin. The low him of conversations about the round table, Turukano looking irritated and glancing at the door. It was unlike Duilin of all people to sleep in and be late, the more sedate and quieter elf being usually not one to want to have any unwanted attention.

Laurefindil coughed to gain the king's attention and he leaned in, telling him he'd go and see what the hold up was with the errant Lord and rose, nodding to the others and taking his leave.

He went out and across the sunlit courtyard heading for the House of the Swallow. there were few people about, the hour still being very early, the meeting having been called only the day before. that would account for Turukano's annoyance. He didn't know what they'd been called so early to discuss but it must be of some importance. Perhaps Duilin just didn't get the message?

He knocked lightly, the door to the house being opened for him and he went in the direction that he was given to find the elf in question, heading up to his private chambers. He thought about knocking but then just decided to go in, perhaps he was asleep still? Seemed likely as all was quiet.

Hand still on the door knob and half inside Laurefindil froze, a surprised 'O' on his expression before he couldn't help himself but chuckle.

"If you wouldn't mind joining us in a moment," he turned his gaze to the window at least, "the council is waiting on you. Once you've finished matters in hand."

He went back out, laughing as he did. The servants gave the golden haired elf some perplexed looks as he left and headed back to the King's Palace. Certainly he didn't think Duilin would be late for another meeting after this!
