Summer was something Jack Frost found himself more and more fascinated with every time he had to leave Burgess for it to occur. He still loved winter, of course, but summer just seemed exotic and interesting to the teen, whose knowledge on the season was limited to what Jamie told him about it. The other guardians were a bit thrown off by the winter child's new obsession; he would fly around the warren, the tooth palace, and Santoff Claussen chattering endlessly about the new things he'd learned to anyone who would listen.
"Tooth, did you know humans do this thing called swimming in the summer? Jamie told me about it, you go to a big pool-I think that's like a lake-and go into it on purpose! On purpose! Can you believe that, Tooth?" He sighed dreamily. "Like, aren't they worried they'll drown or something?"
"No, Jack I don't think they are. I think they learn how to swim when they are very young." He frowned.
"I wish I knew how to swim, Tooth. I want to go to summer."
"Won't that be uncomfortable for you though, Jack?" She looked at him with a mix of curiosity and concern, as mini fairies darted around her, going on different trips for teeth.
"You know, Tooth, I've never been to summer. I don't really know. I guess I always just assumed that it wasn't any fun…maybe I should go and find out!" He jumped up excitedly, a smile lighting up his face.
"I'm not sure that's a good idea, Jack…" But he wasn't listening to her warnings.
"Baby Tooth!" Said mini fairy darted over, curious as to what her friend was up to. "Do you want to go with me and see what summer's like? It'll be fun!" The mini fairy chittered excitedly, and the duo darted off into the sky.
"Be careful, Jack!" Was all she managed to get out before they were out of sight, and she sighed, trying to get back to her work and not worry about the pair.

"Tooth?" The fairy turned to face the winter spirit, but let out a yelp when she saw that all the frost on his hoodie was melted, and his normally pale cheeks were flushed in a sickly looking way.
"Jack, what happened? You look sick! Do you need anything? Oh…I knew I shouldn't have let you go..." Her hyperactive worried chatter was a little overwhelming, but Jack finally spoke when she paused for him to answer her many concerned questions.
"Tooth, summer isn't as fun as I thought it would be." He let out a weak chuckle, before groaning and clutching his stomach. "Sorry, Tooth, I really need to go somewhere cold right now…see you later, okay?"
Baby Tooth chittered, torn between amusement and worry. Her caretaker sighed, shook her head, and concluded that next time Jack had a strange obsession, she should probably just call Bunny…
