"She's got talent, charm, beauty, money, and you're just friends? I didn't raise you very well." - Hank Booth (Foot In The Foreclosure)

"Pops, I wish you'd stop saying things about me and Bones, all the comments are, well, awkward." Seeley Booth explained to his grandfather as they drove around.

"They're true, though. I have never seen two people more perfect for each other," Hank said, not seeing the problem.

"You think I don't know that?" Booth suddenly exploded, banging the heel of his hand on the steering wheel. "You don't think I don't know that we're two pieces to the same puzzle, that we'd fit together perfectly? I know all that Pops. I know all of that."

"Then why are you still just friends?" Hank demanded.

"Bones has stuff in her past-"

"So do you." Hank interrupted.

Booth gave him a look. "I had you. The one person she thought she could trust left her and she ended up in the system."

Hank winced.

"Look, Pops, I know I love her, and I know that she loves me too, but I don't think she's realized it yet. I don't want to push her and risk losing her. I want her to figure out what she's feeling and then we'll be ready to go passed friendship." Booth explained.

Hank relaxed back into his seat. "How very wise of you, Shrimp. Maybe, Maybe I did something right after all."

Just a little drabble, because Hank Booth is up there with Parker Booth ;). I don't own Bones. I hope y'all liked it enough to review.
