My third Kuroshitsuji FanFiction.
This story popped up in my head while listening to the song 'Hide and Seek' by SeeU from Vocaloid. Sebastian and Ciel are OOC (just so you know)
I hope you enjoy :D
Hide and Seek:
A fourteen-year-old Ciel Phantomhive turned a page of his book. Flames flicked from the fireplace, turning the log into gray ash. The night was silent. Another page was turned.
Ciel uncrossed his legs and placed a bookmark to mark his page, he stood. The smooth skin of his legs and arms glowed faintly as the warmth of the fire lingered to them.
Light steps echoed throughout the dark, empty halls. Ciel's parents had long gone to bed, leaving the boy to read in peace and quiet. A faint murmur drifted from the crack of the door to his parents' room.
Ciel walked towards the door and peeked through, a hollow gasp echoed through his mouth. Stepping away from the door, Ciel's composure shattered into a million shards.
Gasping in fright, Ciel ran though the dark halls, looking behind him for the pair of spine-chilling lips, that only moments ago were pressed to both of his parents' mouths.
The dark hallways seemed to go on forever; the only sounds were Ciel's heavy gasps and dark, echoing footsteps.
"Damn," Ciel's legs burned with the strenuous running, his throat screamed for water.
"Finny! Bard! Mey-rin! Tanaka!" His cries were in vain, for moments after those names where called out, Ciel's eyes fell upon empty bodies.
"Damn it all!" Ciel burst through the doors into the parlor, shielding his eyes from the sudden light from the fireplace.
Ciel grabbed the poker from the ground and pressed his back to the armchair, his body huddled into a small ball.
The fire died; silence echoed.
"Where are you dearest?"
A chill ran through Ciel's body and he hugged the poker tighter.
"I'm coming in to find you."
The door of the parlor echoed open. Dark footsteps were soft on the white carpet.
Ciel gripped the poker and tensed. His eyes shut with fear.
"Don't play this game with me, I am not fond of games such as these. It makes it harder to find you."
The chills rapidly increased with each step that the voice took.
Silence replaced all sounds; the footsteps and voice were gone, the door of the parlor swung shut.
Ciel let out a tired breath, leaned his head on the back of the armchair and his grip on the poker lessened a fraction.
"Dearest one, I've found you."
Ciel's eyes snapped open,
Blood red eyes glowed,
Soft lips met Ciel's.
The carpet was dyed red for all eternity.
A thunk resonated through the parlor as a body fell to the red carpet.
A smaller, boyish body stood.
"Thank you dearest, you were quite lovely."
Review? :)
