Howdy! This is a one-shot. I will not add any more to this. I DO NOT OWN SUPERMAN!
(This wont work out!) She thought as she looked into his startling blue eyes. People always said that those eyes were cold, hard, calculating , and hard to read ((from all that he had seen, they were always quick to add)). But the eyes that she looked into were warm, gentle, Innocent, and completely open to her.
She closed her eyes for a minute. When she opened them, her hands laid on the "S" emblazed across his chest. Hands rested on her hips gently, hands that she had seen stop trains and brake planes; hands that could snap her like a twig, but held her like she was a fragile piece of glass.
She lunged up, her lips connecting with his fiercely. She felt him tense in a startled reaction and started to draw back. But the hands on her hips refused to let her move. She felt a small amount of nervous pressure pressed onto her lips. Hers eyes fluttered close, her spine tingling. She eagerly returned the kiss. His arms encircled her waist as her arms wrapped around his neck.
A quiet moan against his mouth. Her hands found the thin space between neck and costume and slipped in easily. He trembled against her hands, heart beating against her's crazily. She new he was afraid, and that struck her as odd. The Man of Steel, terrified by the reporter Lois Lane.
But, the tiny voice in her head said, He might not want you to see him. You might figure out who he is. (OH, shut up!) Lois yelled at the voice as she deepend the kiss. He was shaking by now, need battling safety, passion fighting protection.
(I have to calm him down) said the one unfazed thought in her head. She drew bak for breath and rested her head on his chest, listening to his pounding heart. His arms wrapped around her protectivly. She started whispering. She talked about nonsense things. Slowly, she heard his heart calm down. She looked into his eyes once again.
"I love you," she whispered. His arms tightened around her. She waited.
A few minutes later, she was sure that he wouldn't answer. Lois thought that they had reached this point, were she could admit her feelings and Superman would say them back. (I guess not) She thought, just as Superman bent towards her. She looked into his eyes.
"I-I love you too, Lois." He said it nervously, like it was a big secret.
She smiled. He brought a searing kiss down on her.
Maybe this could work out after all...
