"Excuse me, Fudō–san. Someone's here to see you." a blond woman said.
Yūsei looked up from the computer confused. He wasn't expecting any visitors. "Send them in."
The woman nodded and left the room. Yūsei got up and turned to open the blinds when he was violently tackled. He groaned in pain and opened his blue eyes to see the same color starting back at him.
He groaned in pain and opened his blue eyes to see the same color starting back at him.
Yūsei sighed. "What are you doing here, Kaida?"
Kaida scoffed and sat up to let her father stand. "Geez, I go out of my way to visit my Papa and you go and complain. Well fine, I won't visit you anymore. How about that?" The teen puffed her cheeks and turned her head.
"You know that's not what I meant."
"Sure sounded like it."
Yūsei rubbed his forehead. He and Aki got married a few years after the reunion party when she had a break. They had a long distance relationship before they finally married and moved in together. It wasn't long until they had their daughter Kaida. He loves her dearly but, well, she's a teenager and that's as much Yūsei is willing to say.
And...Well, there is one issue...
"Don't you still have school? It's 1:30 and I'm pretty sure today's not a half day."
Before Kaida could answer, the phone rang. Yūsei checked the caller ID and sighed. It was the school number. This is like, what, the 10th time this week they called him?
Atlas Residence
Jack looked at his son with a scowl as the phone continued to ring before his wife, Carly, answered it. "Kyōhei, why would the school call us?"
Kyōhei just shrugged his shoulders and proceed to tie his long blond hair in a ponytail before concentrating the green eyes that he got from his grandfather, Carly's dad, on a book. Jack sighed and gave up, pretty much forcing himself to be ok with waiting until he hears it from the school.
Jack and Carly have been together since they met again at a tournament Jack was invited to. It wasn't too long that they got married and had their now sixteen-year-old son Kyōhei.
He and Kyōhei were the complete opposite of each other. Jack is, he finally admitted to himself, an arrogant man who can be cold-hearted even at the worst of time. Kyōhei, however, was like a prince. Sure, he has his father's bluntness and sarcasm, but he's more calm and mature. Jack was always proud that his son wasn't like that, considering all the trouble his personality has ended him up in. But Kyōhei's no saint. He has his share of troubles and mischief. At first, Jack thought it was just boys being boys.
But this is the tenth time the school called this week. Something tells him this isn't boyish pranks anymore.
Hōgan Resistance
"Crow, the school said to come to the school with Karasu for a meeting," Sherry said before putting the phone on the hook.
Crow turned to his son who was trying the sneak away. "Nice try Karasu, but you're coming with."
Karasu came back laughing and scratching the back of his head. He was about to make up some excuse on why he can't go when he felt his mother's dangerous aura.
"Expliquez-vous maintenant, Karasu," Sherry ordered her son, her French making her more intimidating. (1)
"Ce n'est pas à quoi ça ressemble, maman!" The boy quickly replied, trying to avoid his mother's fury. (2)
"Ensuite, dites-moi ce que c'est." (3)
Crow decided to leave it to his wife since he wasn't much of a disciplinary and went to put his shoes on. Though, of course, he was also disappointed.
Crow knew about trouble and one look at his face will tell you the same thing. But he made sure to teach Karasu the difference between right and wrong so that he won't end up like his dad, especially since Crow's a Security now.
He looked over at his wife who was still disciplining their kid in some very intimidating sounding French. Sherry and he met randomly while Crow was working undercover and a shot of courage allowed the man to ask the beautiful woman out. Everything else just happened naturally, down to their kid. Karasu looked like his dad, the only thing he got from his mother was her French. Hell, he even as Crow's personality. He has fell prey to his pranks a lot of time.
But after this, the tenth time school call this week, Crow was starting to think his son was into more than just petty pranks.
Misty's Car
"Rai, I would rather hear what happened from you rather the school you know." Misty Lola said as she and her son, Kūmori Rai, drove to the school.
Rai didn't say anything as he played with his red hair and fixed his reddish brown eyes on the changing scenery.
Misty sighed. She still remembers adopting Rai and how distant and guarded he was. Misty was able to get him to open up, but that didn't stop his violent tendencies. There was this one time when Misty took him to one of her photo shoots and he threw a chair at a Sector Security. Granted, he deserved it for making unwanted passes at the model, but Rai could've gotten sent to the Facility for that.
At first, he was fighting simply out of anger, but with this tenth school call, Misty was starting to think Rai was fighting for the hell of it now.
