AN: Just thought of the story this morning. We got some more snow this morning and best of all I don't have to work in it. Just another Beka/Rhade piece Takes place in the future and an alternate universe.
Beka looked out the window, snowflakes were beginning to fall. The forecast said it would snow and maybe ten inches would be on the ground by morning. It had been twenty years since she'd come to live on Tarazed, but she couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
She had, had an amazing life. It had begun on the Maru but she now knew she would stay here for the rest of her life for she was content. From salvage captain, to helping Dylan Hunt restore the CommonWealth, to watching him getting elected president. From her taking command of the Andromeda, and her marriage to Telemachus Rhade.
In three days they would celebrate their twentieth wedding anniversary and everyone was coming. Except Harper, her eyes filled with tears. He had fought a valiant battle against his cancer but it had claimed him. But he would want her to remain strong.
Anyone who had known her in her old days would be stunned by the Beka she now was, she loved living on a planet, she had settled down, and she had found peace.
Just then two arms wrapped around her, "Counting the snowflakes again?"
She laid her head on Telemachus's chest, "I've seen twelve."
Just then they heard commotion from their two daughters, aged sixteen and twelve. "Give it back!" That was Lela's voice.
"It's mine!" That was Samantha.
Telemachus rolled his eyes, "want to count the days till they leave home?"
Beka laughed as he went of to referee them. She placed her hand over her stomach; she was now in her seventh month. Her son lay within her, and he would be named after Harper.
Beka continued to watch the snow and smiled.
