England laughed brightly, raising his ceramic teacup in the air. "Oh, Captain Hook! You are such a charmer!" He set down his teacup on a small plate and glanced around the empty table, where he saw his imaginary friends. His bright green eyes seemed to light up as he looked to the ceiling. "Flying Mint Bunny! I'm so glad you could make it!" England waved his pale hand, smiling happily.
Young America poked his head around the corner to spy on his older brother. He stared, confused at the scene before him. England was sitting all by himself, talking to the air and laughing at nothing. America, confused stepped into the room. "England?"
Surprised, England fell backwards in his chair, hitting his head on the ground. "Bullocks!" he exclaimed and stood back up, rubbing the back of his skull. "America, please don't scare me like that again…" England sighed and kneeled down to America's level.
The young boy had an unusual concerned look on his face. Most of the time, America had a big, stupid grin on his face that England just adored. "Mr. England… Are you okay? Why are you talking to yourself? I don't see anyone with you." His big blue eyes stared worriedly at the Brit.
England looked behind him at the empty table and sighed. "Don't worry about it, America. I was… on the phone." He returned his gaze back to America, who didn't seem to be buying it. He smiled softly and ruffled his smaller brother's sandy blonde hair. America smiled brightly and giggled. England picked America up and placed him on his shoulders. "Come on, America. I have a surprise for you."
