Prompt- Person B creates an experimental formula, and wants to test it on Person A.

A/n: *casually leaves this here after months of no activity*

'Would I lie Cecil?' Carlos said, hands moving quickly over bubbling beakers and wiry tubes. His foggy goggles hung around his neck and his lab coat was splattered with strange colors and he smelled of cooking spray. But he still managed to look absolutely perfect. Cecil shrugged.

'You say this formula will give me advanced sight right?' Carlos nodded eagerly pushing a beaker filled with purple sludge toward him.

'If my calculations are correct and well they usually are you'll have the eyes of a hawk!' Cecil cringed. 'Not a hawk. Perhaps another predatory bird.' Carlos hung his head. 'Fine not a hawk a falcon now will you please just take a sip?' Cecil took a deep breath and bravely grasped the beaker.

'Anything for the scientific community.' Carlos gave a wide toothy grin and Cecil poured the sludge into his mouth. It tasted of fermented alcohol and bacon grease.

Cecil drained the whole bottle quickly and smiled at Carlos. Despite the fact that the lingering taste made him want to throw up.

Carlos snatched up a clipboard. 'How do you feel?' He asked. Cecil thought for a moment. 'Well I have a headache. Does that mean it's working?' He said.

'Take off your glasses.' Carlos said. Cecil pulled the thick rims off. 'How about now?'

Before Cecil could respond a white light suddenly flashed behind his eyes, blinding him. Suddenly a white hot pain in his forehead. As if something was being seared into his brain. He groaned and staggered back. He could hear Carlos' shocked cries and felt his glasses shatter beneath his feet. Then the pain was gone. He looked slowly up at Carlos' worried face.

'How do you feel?' Carlos asked again.

Cecil responded honestly, 'neat!' It was the truth. There where no lingering effects of the pain, he felt almost better actually.

Carlos gasped suddenly, hand covering his mouth. Cecil became worried. 'What what is it.'

'Cecil,' Carlos said 'you have another eye!'

'Huh?'

Carlos looked around frantically. His face lite up as he grabbed the beaker. Cecil could dimly see his face outlined on the beakers surface. Then it was his turn to gasp. There, right on his temple, was an eye. It was closed but it was defiantly an eye. Eyelashes and all. Carlos looked sadly at him. 'Cecil I'm so sorry.' He began but Cecil exclaimed happily. 'That's so cool!' He gave Carlos a hug. 'Let me see what I can do with it.' He said. Carlos shook his head 'no Cecil.'

But it was too late. Cecil opened his third eye and was transported to downtown Night Vale people bustling around the city. An eyeless man sat at the corner begging for change but the passer yes walked on. To busy with their own mortal injuries to care for the mans. Out of shock Cecil closed his eye. He was back at the lab with Carlos' worried eyes trained on him. He bounced eagerly up and down. 'That was amazing! Thank you Carlos!' Carlos look surprised. 'Are you okay?' Cecil nodded. 'Wow Carlos I can't tell you how much this means to me! Do you know how much better I'll be at my job!' He exclaimed hugging him tightly. Carlos stuttered 'umm you're welcome?'

Cecil kissed his cheek. 'Thank you thank you thank you!' Carlos smiled more confidently, 'yeah of course anything for you.' Cecil squealed and flung his arms around his neck and united their lips in a passionate kiss.
