I sit on a bench inside the tunnel to the stadium, thinking about the duel. I'm surprised that Yuzu Hiragi was able to improve so much in the short amount of time between our duels. But more than that, I'm surprised at the shine in her eyes as I saw her fusion summon with my Crystal Rose. I've only seen shine like that in the most perfect gems. Her eyes are perfect…
Wait, what am I thinking? She's a girl, and the enemy no less. But she managed to beat me, with that Entertainment Dueling of hers. Perhaps…
"Masumi!" I hear Hokuto yell to me. I turn and see at him and Yaiba coming towards me.
"What happened out there?" Yaiba calls.
"I'm not sure," I reply, "I must have underestimated her abilities."
"She defeated your true ace," Hokuto says, "I've never seen another fusion user defeat you."
I pull out my Crystal rose card and down at it. She saved me with a fusion of one of my monsters and one of hers. Her eyes shined when she showed me her Entertainment Dueling and her fusion abilities. I want to see her eyes shine again, even if she is an enemy.
I stand up and say, "I have something I need to do."
I run and find Yuzu and give her my Crystal Rose card. I tell her that if she beat me she should be able to win the tournament. I silently add that I want to see the shine in her eyes again.
