"Enjoying your time?" Lloyd asks, and his voice isn't quiet, isn't subdued. No, he wanders into Zero's room like he owns it, curiously poking at this or that, a little disappointed that there isn't much for him to mess with. Suzaku keeps his room neat and tidy, though Lloyd supposes that's easy when one doesn't have many things. Were he anyone else, he might find it a bit sad- as he's Lloyd, he just hums and keeps poking around.
"...What are you doing here?" Suzaku asks, eyes flicking to the door. He closes the laptop and wanders to it, locking the four locks on it, then slides off his mask, hair mussed. The scientist looks at him for a long moment, head tilting to the side, then he goes to sit on the desk, pushing his finger back and forth over the top of the closed laptop. "...Lloyd."
He laughs, shrugging bony shoulders, tapping his fingers against the computer. "What indeed?" Lloyd echoes, grinning a bit. "Too many late nights up on the computer will make your eyes go bad and you'll have to wear glasses~ I'd like to keep you in tip-top shape if at all possible, and while glasses may look very dashing on you, they'd be completely ruined by your mask, or get broken."
Suzaku gives him a wry look, heading for the closet and changing into a pair of loose blue pajama pants, not minding Lloyd watching him. "I'd think it would be cheaper if it didn't matter what kind of glasses I wore- cheap, inexpensive ones could be made and the problem would be solved." A shirt goes on next, and then he turns, wandering over to the twin-sized bed, drawing back the covers from a neatly made bed. "Why are you here?"
"Bored," Lloyd answers, and moves over as well, sitting on the bed once Suzaku settles on it, carefully stretching out next to him, mostly over him, smiling a bit crookedly. "Do I truly need an excuse for everything I do now, Suzaku?"
The question's a fairly valid one, but he says nothing, just moves over a bit so Lloyd has a bit more room, sighing when it just prompts Lloyd to follow, leaning on his chest now, still smiling. "You can't spend the night here," Suzaku warns quietly, but it doesn't stop him from reaching out and brushing fingers against the nape of Lloyd's neck, twisting lightly in his hair.
"A few hours, then. I'm helping Zero develop this or that," Lloyd says agreeably, watching Suzaku mull it over and then nod quietly, eyes closing. They've long since gotten over arguments- mostly on Suzaku's part, about Lloyd spending time there for long hours. Mostly they were over because Lloyd gleefully pointed out that Suzaku slept well when Lloyd was with him, and it was in Lloyd's best interests to have his favorite part still working- and the only way to do that was with enough sleep.
Either way though, Suzaku's almost asleep already, and Lloyd's rather proud of himself, petting the brunet absently, almost like he's a dog or a cat of some kind. That thought prompts a slight snort out of the scientist- a dog or a cat would know better and take better care of themselves than Suzaku took. Lloyd was no stranger to soldiers giving things their all- but there was that, and then there was Suzaku. Suzaku, who never took any care for himself, but always for others. Sighing quietly, the man just tucks a few loose curls behind one of Suzaku's ears. If the damn boy wouldn't take care of himself, then Lloyd would just have to do it for him.
Should clarify that the original prompt was -- ❶ (R1/R2/post-series/doesn't matter) "If you won't love yourself, I will." But Lloyd...is complicated. At that point, he didn't love Suzaku, so him saying 'take care of' was kind of Lloyd's equivalent of that at that point in time. It'll be love later, but right now, it's just that kind of dorky-fond watching out for.
