I gasped. My son just had fallen off the cliff he stood!
''BAMBI!'' I yelled as I raced down the cliff. It echoed everywhere and as I got down, I stepped back in shock. My son was lying in the ground and wasn't moving. I approached him. I felt bad about this.
''Bambi.'' I said, silently. ''Get up.'' He didn't respond. ''Get up!'' I said, my voice cracking. He still didn't get up. I started to get angry. ''A PRINCE DOES NOT-'' I began, but I stopped, realizing it was exactly what Bambi had yelled about me earlier.
That I care just about that how a prince acts and not about him himself. I shook my head in shame and guilt as I bent down to his level. I saw Mena coming up to see me, and with her where that little rabbit that I had seen with my son yesterday. And his other friend too.
I turned back to my son and then I nuzzled his back carefully. I nuzzled him tightly, as a tear rolled down my cheek. I couldn't stop it. I knew I cared about my son. And it was time to show this.
Then, I stopped nuzzling him and sighed. I turned away to walk away but then- ''Dad?'' A weak voice asked. I turned back to him in shock. I saw him looking up to me, looking tired.
''I'm here.'' I said as he smiled. I nuzzled his face and he smiled now even more, and then nuzzled me back. We nuzzled each other there as the moon came out from behind the clouds.
I knew that now everything's going to be just fine.
