2:03AM

The petite brunette's eyes narrowed at the man in front of him; only to be countered with an equally as irritated glare.

"Sir…" Neji heavily sighed. He wasn't in the mood to argue, "I believe, I had it first."

He pinched the bridge of his nose between thumb and forefinger. It was two in the morning but was scheduled to report back to the office by five, and to top it off he had a massive migraine.

The larger man stood frozen in his stance; hand on the box of pain killers and not moving a muscle.

"Listen here kid, it's late…and I'm exhausted. I'm not in the mood to play games. Look, I had it first so why don't you show a little respect for your elders and just hand it over."

Silver eyes widened at the stranger's rude outburst. Anger shook through his small body but the boy bit his tongue from letting the brassy words from slipping. Without a word, he snatched the last box from the shelf, paid for his merchandise and left the corner store.

2:45AM

Neji hurried into the apartment escaping the bitter cold. Unwinding the dark scarf, Neji trudged to the other side of the room slipping off his shoes in the process. Flopping face first into the mattress, he sighed breathing in the familiar scent. Turning over, Neji reached for the small paper bag tearing it open revealing the contents. Pushing his thumb against edge, the bottle popped open. He shook it until a couple tiny pills fell out and quickly swallowed it. The boy sighed; still fully clothed he sprawled across the whole bed. Slowly his heavy lids shut steering him into a deep sleep.

5:15AM

Neji swiftly climbed the grey stairs to the tallest building on the street – the broad letters: UCHIHA illuminated at the very top.

"Mr. Hyuuga," the receptionist greeted.

"Christine," Neji nodded curtly.

Pressing the golden elevator button several times, Neji smoothed out his suit then quickly ran a hand through his brown locks smoothing out any loose hairs. Today was the day that Mr. Uchiha was scheduled to leave for New York and his son was officially flying in to fill his spot as CEO. Here in the Seattle bureau, office gossip was inevitable and with a man who was crowned as Pacific Northwest's most eligible bachelor making a permanent appearance, people were bound to talk about it.

Stepping out of the elevator, Neji was welcomed to an empty office. Frowning, Neji grabbed the phone in his back pocket and tapped the picture of a grinning brown haired boy labeled as Benjiro.

6:35AM

Neji: Nobody's here…where are you?

6:36AM

Ben: On the 3rd floor. Better get your ass down here…new protocols include roll call.

Shit.
