Great War of Sacrca
The clack of heavy armor, the sparks of sword on sword, and the smell of blood and rotting corpses filled the clearing. In the center of it all stood a tall, skinny soldier, about to be hit with a mace wielding plague. He stared at the plague that was going to kill him. Jessop stood in horror as the realization that he was going to die, creep into his mind.
Chapter One: The First Fight
Jessop Emony was an ordinary 18 year old boy. Not much to look at, tall, skinny, muscular, but ordinary all the same. Up until a year ago he worked on farm just west of the capital city of Sarca, but was now out in the middle of nowhere in IronClaw territory, where the plague appeared. This was not just common sickness though, the plague was much worse. They were zombie like creatures that came from a portal that had opened in the middle of a dwarven city. The IronClaw called on Sarca to send soldiers.
Many never have seen a single battle in their life's. With the Sarca military drafting every young man they could, and poor Jessop was forced to become a soldiers in the ranks of thousands. That brings us here to StoneFist Clan territory, where the Sarca Military and the dwarves of the five Clans make a shaky alliance to push back the plague.
"Hey Jessop!" Bellowed a fat dwarf. "Bring us some of that ale, would you?" Jessop sighed. Commander Grornorli would never change. He was always drinking and boasting about his tactical skills, but everyone in the army know that he had never seen a single battle. He always sat at some desk filling out paperwork, but he was right about his skill in the art of war. Commander Grornorli had studied every book on tactics in his youth.
Then one of the senior soldiers next to Commander Grornorli yelled, "Come on, bring it while we're still young!"
Jessop thought to himself, "Too late for that." But all the same he brought them their drinks. Jessop hated kitchen duty, and said to himself, " I'm a soldier don't we have cooks to do this?"
It was dark out when Jessop finished his kitchen duties, and decided to go straight to bed. On his way to his tent, he saw a pair of glowing purple eyes in the forest. Then the sluggish corpse of a little farm girl came crawling of the forest.
Author's note: Sorry this chapter is short, but on that note, this is just something to see if you like it or like my writing style. Also this world is based on a D&D world I made. ~Johnthan Oak
