At first this was supposed to be a 'who are you' poem, but once I started typing a whole new poem came up. It's more direct than my previous one, but I still like it. I didn't have any real character in mind when I wrote this; I just came up with my own. I you wish to pretend that it's a cannon character, then go right ahead. I hope you enjoy.
You scream and shout to the world
Of controlling it, making it your own
Only for to look about seeing
All attentions focused on you.
You cling to your seat as if it would protect you
Screech your "normality" and horribly attempt
To mingle among the children surrounding.
But you can't.
Because you're not dreary.
Not like them.
You're eccentric and unique,
You're a new brand of naïve.
No matter how rude you act,
Or what insults you snap,
Your foreign antics and gags
Always brightens my days.
You hold opinions that no one
Could ever hope to match,
Defending them to the death.
Your voice carries a new meaning
Even when about textures of dirt.
You constantly grab my attention,
What prank will you be pulling next?
Stealing Dib's glasses,
Painting the school green,
Heck you could fill my locker with cheese
And it wouldn't make a difference to me.
So why pray tell, do you wish
To become another ant in the colony?
I know you think you're great,
You yell at every chance you take.
Why be normal, it's clearly overrated.
Can't you see me in my attempts to stand out?
Oh wait, no, no you don't.
You barely know I exist because
I'm just another skool child thrown into the mix.
Well maybe if I tell you
That it's ok to let loose your nature
To be free with your ludicrous soul,
And that someone admires the way you just live,
Then maybe, just maybe you wouldn't look
Quite so lonely anymore.
Because I respect you Zim,
While my spirit begs me to deny,
I accept you for who you are
And what you do even though,
Dib is very close to correct.
Alien? Definitely.
Insane? Maybe.
Evil? Not on your life.
