Aurora Lights
A/N: This story was inspired by a friend of mine. This happened to her and I just had to write about it. Except the last part. I put that in for my amusment. This is my first fan fiction ever! Hope you like it.
A Skyrim Drabble
Through the brush my feet carried me. Past endless rows of trees and brush I traveled. Finally I reached a clearing. Breathing out I watched my breath form in front of me in the cold night air. Looking up I saw a sight that took my breath away.
Deep majestic purples melted into luscious blues. The colors swirled and danced in the sky. The multitude of stars flashed loud in the sky each needing to be seen. The largest brightest moon I had ever gazed upon lit the sky with an intense beauty. It was so beautiful is almost hurt.
I could look at the scene forever and feel perfectly content…except for the throbbing pain forming in my back. Trying not to ruin the moment at seeing such a rare sight, I reached to rub the pain from my back. Furrowing my brows I couldn't help but think my back felt…wet? Looking at my hand I saw a dark substance on them…blood? As I turned to look behind me the last thought I had was, "Oh shit!" as the wolf lunged at my throat.
I awoke in an unfamiliar bed. Thick fur blankets piled on top of me. How had I gotten here? A woman walked in and told me how some hunters found me nearly dead in the woods. "The wolf they'd been tracking had almost taken a nice chunk from your face." she informed me.
"Lovely" I thought with disdain and embarrassment. No way was I telling anyone about this….No one had to know…A few weeks later I left the inn and couldn't help but over hear something.
"I used to be an adventurer like you," the guard started saying to a man with a sword, "Then I took an arrow to the knee." Slowly, oh so very slowly I looked over my shoulder with a wide-smile as my arm lifted my mace.
