KakaSaku Fanfic Based off of Avril Lavigne's "I'm With You"
Tears rolled down her eyes as she sat on the side of the bridge leading to Konoha's great East Gate, awaiting her lover of ten years. She bit her lip; looking in the direction he had left in those five years ago in an ANBU mission she was too busy being pregnant to help him with. She didn't even notice the clouds as they swirled overhead in the dark of night, well; she did, after the rain started to drizzle down.
But she stood, unscathed by the water as she waited again for her beloved to return two years past the deadline. Even with her advanced hearing, she could only hear the wind howling through the forest and attacking the gate that stood firm. She knew none of the Rookie 9 or ANBU or even Jounin/Chunin would look for her as she waited—they knew roughly where she was, but they didn't bother finding out exactly; not even Naruto did now that he had Hinata and was the Hokage. She shivered as the wind cooled the rain that hit her face and body…
Why won't he come back? She found herself wondering as she wiped at her face, wishing he would come and bring her out of her confused haze.
"Mommy," She looked down and smiled at the gray-eyed little girl with long pink hair and the abilities of the Sharingan, without ever having it. "Mommy, why are you out here in the rain?"
She picked up the little girl in the outfit of the Haruno saying, "Let's go back in before you catch a cold, Meimei." The little girl nodded as she carried her inside.
Too bad this wasn't the person she wanted to take her home that night…
