Steven and Connie walked down the beach next to one another, both of them wearing sweatshirts.

A strong gust of wind suddenly came in which made Connie pull her hood up. Steven put his hands in the pockets of his sweatshirt and continued looking in front of himself.

The sky above them was quite gloomy for the time of day, it being very faded and covered in clouds which made it so there was little to no sunlight.

Connie noticed Steven pull his hands out of the front pockets of his sweatshirt and glance at her, lightly smiling and then glancing back to the front of himself.

"You look nice today, Connie."

Connie blushed at the remark.

"You look good today too, Steven."

Steven also blushed and then got a flustered look on his face as if he was trying to say something but the words just weren't coming out. Connie grabbed his hand as an attempt to calm him down which ended up working. Connie's slim fingers one by one slipped between Steven's big and soft ones as a sign of not wanting to let go of his hand.

"C-Connie, I've been meaning to a-ask you something."

"What is it, Steven?"

Steven tensed up and finally let it all out with a sigh.

"D-Do you wanna maybe.. Go to dinner together later? Like.. only the two of us?"

Steven looked at the ground slightly, giving a sheepish grin.

"Do you mean.. like a date?" Connie asked, blushing wider than she was before.

Steven gave a nervous chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Y-Yeah."

Connie suddenly had a wide grin spread across her face and she leaned in closer to Steven.

"I would love that, Steven"
